Liberals and Democrats are more likely than conservatives, moderates, Republicans and independents to believe the Bible is nothing more than a book of fables and legends made up by man, according to a new Gallup poll.
Since George Washington was inaugurated in 1789, American presidents have traditionally placed their left hand on the Bible when they take the oath of office and swear to defend the Constitution of the United States.
Uniquely, President Barack Obama took the oath of office twice. The first time, at his formal inauguration ceremony on Jan. 20, 2009, Chief Justice John Roberts made a mistake in the wording of the oath--which is prescribed by the Constitution--and Obama followed him in making the error. At thate event, Obama placed his left hand on the Bible while taking the oath. The next night at the White House, Chief Justice Roberts again administered the oath to Obama, this time wording it correctly. When Obama took the oath a second time, however, he did not place his hand on the Bible.

The Bible has lessons that are philosophically wise, and parts that are essentially a supernatural comic book view of the natural world seen through the lens of a 2,000 year old agrarian society. If the requirement is that you HAVE to believe the comic book part in order to embrace the philosophical teachings don't be surprised that some intelligent people are going to step back.
If some "intelligent" people step back, they will be the ones surprised.

Liberals are walking contradictions.
They believe in the church of global warming but not the Bible.
They believe that there should be no death penalty except for innocent unborn babies.
They believe in taxes for everyone but themselves.
I could go on and on.
Liberals are not cohearant.
Neither is your rant.
Liberals and Consevatives have both done a great job in taking our country backwards recently. The childish banter reflected on these types of blogs is a great example of how things work in politics. Our government is broken...regardless of who's in charge.

I fail to see any connection to the topic of the post.
Just childish.
The title of this post falls into one of those "Duh" areas. When I saw it, I thought sarcastically, "Well, that' news!" I am Republican so therefore a little biased, but, yes, Republicans are more apt to be Bible-believers.
