The Other Side Of The Adult Diaper Story

The Transportation Security Administration is standing by its officers after a 95-year-old woman was asked to remove her adult diaper during an airport security screening. CNN reports it happened at a Northwest Florida Regional Airport. The woman was selected for random screening. That's when TSA workers felt something suspicious on her leg and couldn't determine what it was. They asked the woman's daughter to take her to the bathroom and remove the adult diaper she was wearing. The TSA issued a statement saying their officers handled the situation in a "respectful and sensitive manner" and "according to proper procedure."

Thank goodness there are going to be changes in the screeing system, according to the news I watched. Ridiculous for a 95-year-old, wearing a diaper no less, to be selected for random checking, just as the patdown for a very young child. I know that the times have necessitated airport screening, but they could use some common sense.

yeah, because the terrorists really care who they strap a bomb to. i bet that flight didnt blow up. i can also wager that the woman will probably want to fly again and complain that she has to go through another screening.
if people dont like the airlines rules, buy your own airline or just dont fly. a little personal accountability goes a long way!

Just wondering how long the daughter was going to let her 95 year old mother sit in a wet diaper?

Yeah, I know the TSA has already apprehended DOZENS of middle aged and just plain older than dirt WHITE WOMEN carrying bombs, and knives, and flammable liquids. Some one who is obviously on the verge of death SHOULD be singled out, searched, and made to undress right down to their damn Depends, because we don't want the REAL terrorists to be offended by singling THEM out. That might violate their rights. Now, everyone who doesn't like being stripped searched while Mohammed and his burka-clad female friend strroll right through check-in, go ahead and buy yourself an airline. Thats a realistic and perfectly reasonable solution. We are being "conditioned". Plain and simple. Remember the article about the chef who was allowed to bring knives on board (by the TSA)? It ain't about "security". Its about getting us used to the searching, seizing, and surveillance. You know, to "protect" us.

6:03 is right on. It's all about being conditioned for what is coming.
