Kansas Lawmakers Consider Letting Motorcyclists Run Red Lights

Citing stoplights that run on sensors incapable of detecting diminutive vehicles, the Kansas House of Representatives passed a bill that will allow motorcyclists and riders of scooters and bicycles to legally run "dead reds." Missouri has a similar law on the books.

I can certainly understand this. I have riden motorcycles for over fourty years and I have sat through red lights while all other traffic signalling devices have changed many times. I sit there waiting for a car to come up behind me to trigger the sensor but after three or four cycles I have run through the lights. It is really frustrating.
