Art Goetz passed away in his sleep this morning. I will provide more details about Art's time on this earth at some point in the near future. Right now we must deal with arrangements instead. I will say this however. Art and Dot Goetz raised 6 beautiful Daughters, one of which is my Wife.
Art served in the United States Marines in three wars. He was the director of the Wicomico Library System and extremely active in the Rotary Club for many years. He will be deeply missed by all.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Sounds like it is a loss for our community as well.
I miss seeing him outside doing his gardening.
He's been quite ill for some time now. May he rest in peace.

Sorry for your loss. I met Art several years ago on the downtown plaza as a stranger and left several minutes later with a friend.

So sorry for your loss and for your family's loss. Mr. Goetz was truly a great man.
Thank you for my freedom to make this comment "ART". You will be missed by many in this country.
My sympathy and prayers are going out to you and Jennifer.
To have been a US Marine during WWII was a job that only the very brave could successfully fulfill. My sympathy to you and your wife and my belated thanks to Mr Goetz for his service to our country.
To true American Hero GOD SPEED
Veterans Day is just around the corner...God Bless you Mr. Goetz and all American veterans.
It's really hard when you lose a loved one. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole family.. God Bless you all
Art was not only a Veteran of WWII, he also served during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. This man is a true patriot. My heart is saddened by the loss of such a great man. His wife and daughters are to be commended, living the life of a military dependent is not easy, it is especially trying while our country is at war. Thank you, Art, Dot and Daughters, for all you have given so that your husband and father may serve.
SEMPER FI!
I knew Art from Rotary and he lived the FOUR WAY TEST and he was always a true gentleman and never let his failing health stop him from working towards what was right, he was a true Marine till the end. He will be sadly missed. My condolences to you, Jennifer and the whole Goetz family.
