The FDA has released the warning letter it recently sent to Quality Egg, one of the facilities behind the massive egg recall in August. And while some things are redacted -- mostly details from Quality's plan to get back up to snuff -- the letter contains more than its fair share of stomach-churning imagery.

I am appalled. I have NEVER seen actual flies on any farm I've been to! And to have something like manure in a manure pit???? WOW! Oh, and when that brown liquid seeps out of the building edges when they're washing down the floors with disinfectant? This has got to be stopped! Why I oughtta....
And to think the (unseen) rodents had eaten all the trap bait... well, those traps should be sealed shut to prevent sick rodents! And to think that there are wild birds flying around inside a barn... pack those birds up and put them in my local Wal-Mart where they belong!
I'm ready for that omlette now.
