If the jewish holocost can still illicit sympathy and recognition of the tragedy then I'm sure the Transatlantic slave trade and additional century of bondage followed by 80 years of systematic terrorism during Jim Crowe understanbly would lead to people making sure this history is never forgotten or repeated.
