It's another unfortunate day on Delmarva as Delegate Page Elmore lost his battle today with cancer.
Again, our thoughts and prayers go out to the Elmore Family.

My thoughts are with his family. What a great man! He wrote me a letter of reccomendation for college and provided me with a scholarship. He will be greatly missed

A gracious man and honest politican in a time when honesty is at a preminium
My thoughts and sympathy to Page's wife Carolyn, his children, step-children and grandchildren. Page was a wonderful, kind and honest man and he will be missed by so many. I saw Page and Carolyn recently and shared with them some heartwrenching news in my own life and as sick as he was he kept telling me that he would remember my family in prayer.....I had no idea how sick he really was.
Page Elmore was a man of tremendous ability with consideration and concern for others and chose to spend his life in helping the community. We have lost someone of great stature. Our thoughts and prayers are with his lovely family.
Joe, why did you not delete that moronic comment made by 5:58? I cannot believe that anyone would submit something like that.
As far as Page is concerned, he was a tremendously skilled public servant. I have heard him speak a number of times, the latest a month ago at the Republican Club, and I have always been awed by his command of the facts and by his political acumen. He was a most gregarious person, the kind of gentleman of whom we often say "He knew no strangers." His wife, Carolyn, is also a delightful person. My condolences to the Elmore family.

While many of you think they should not be published, I'm NOT going to continue to hide their hate. When you see them in public you can tell them how you feel. Your time is coming Charles.
Page was a great man and a great leader in Annapolis. While I did not always agree 100% with him politically, he always did what he thought best for his district. His constituent services were great as was his ability to talk to voters. I am deeply saddened by his loss, as I considered him a political mentor and someone I could look to for guidance and leadership. He will be sorely missed.

If I thought all the initials were the true writers of the comments I certainly would tell them how I felt about leaving such remarks - but I also think you should be more responsible than to allow this type of comment to appear under postings of Mr Vincent and Del Elmore. This is a time to grieve for these two fine gentlemen and to express our sympathy to their friends and family. These postings are in poor taste, on the part of who ever wrote them, and on your part for posting them. Ignoring "their hate" would make you the better person.
anonymous 8:41, when you create your own Website, (perhaps you already have) you can make that decision. In the mean time, IF you were so concerned you would have stayed on topic and not drifted by wasting the time to express how bothered you are at me and perhaps those who wrote the comments.
We have been saving these comments for more than a year and one day in the near future we will provide a link to another Website where others, (adults) can see just how hateful these people have been. In the mean time, in the past two days I have rejected more than 200 very nasty comments. Because I let one or two through, deal with it.
Page Elmore was a good man. He was the most friendlist of any politician I ever knew. I enjoyed my conversations with him when I would see him in town. Sorry, Carolyn, I didn't realize how sick he was when I saw you the other day at the P.O.

To all of the people posting nasty comments on the top 2 tragic losses this area has suffered in the last 2 days: GET A LIFE. You people are morons to post comments that have nothing to do with either of these two very HUMBLE and GREAT men that have impacted this area and had the respect of everyone who truly knew them. Both of these gentlemen were friends of mine and great examples of true leaders that we all can learn from. So please bury your problems with Joe and keep your common unfounded post away from the rest of us who mourn the losses of the past two days.

Wow. Two good men who served their community gone in very short order. My heart goes out to the families of the lost.
As far as the comments, it's unfortunate that at the very least people can't pick their spots better to show their utter lack of character and class.
Oh how Delmarva will miss him! Delegate Page Elmore was a supporter of families. The first time I met him was at a reception for volunteer family leaders where I soon found out how much he did for families. As a volunteer, I began seeing him at many functions in which he certainly did nor need to attend but wanted to so he could learn more about what parents & children truly need in the Shore. We were blessed to have him! I am sorry for what we have lost and even more so for what his family lost in such a wonderful man. God bless.
