Vehicle #2: 1991 Honda Civic MD (8EAK02)
Driver: Vanessa Ellen Timmons B/F DOB: 02/21/1961 (Deceased)
Passenger #1: Charles Edgar Timmons B/M DOB: 10/27/1962 (Deceased)
BRIEF RESUME:
On 05/05/2010 at approximately 0310 hours, Troopers from Salisbury Barrack responded to westbound Rt. 50, just east of Woodyard Rd for a head-on motor vehicle collision. The investigation revealed Vehicle #1 was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane and collided head-on with Vehicle #2, who was traveling westbound on Rt.50. As a result of the collision the driver of Vehicle #2 was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger of Vehicle #2 was transported to PRMC with life threatening injuries, and was later pronounced deceased. The driver of Vehicle #1 was transported to PRMC for non-life threatening injuries. Due to the collision, Rt. 50 in that area was shut down for the safety of emergency responders. The driver of Vehicle #1 was suspected to be under the influence of Alcohol. Maryland State Police CRASH team responded to the scene and the investigation is continuing. All events occurred in Wicomico County, MD.

It is so sad reading stories where pure ignorance and neglegience cause the death of two innocent (at that moment) people. My heart goes out to the families that recieved that phone call this morning.

Driving while drunk sometimes protects the subjects because their muscles are relaxed and therefore, they tend to have fewer injuries...DUI needs to be treated as an "intentional" felony as one "chooses" to drink and drive...

It amazes me that some want to know what they were doing out at 3 a.m. Really??? If they were adults I guess they don't have to justify being out at 3 a.m. I am sorry for the families of the deceased and I am also sorry for the FAMILY of the other driver. A really sad situation. God Bless

They were coming home from their shift at work (brother & sister). Not that it matters.

The 2 were coming home from work at one of the local chicken plants. THATS what they were doing out at 3am
11:59- What world do you live in? This is a 24 hour society...I work overnight as a baker and was coming home from work in O.C when I came across this accident at 3:20am this morning as were these 2 people. You need a reality check just because someone is driving in the middle of the night doesn't mean they just left the bar or a party.
The two people that was killed were my aunt and uncle and some of these comments are crazy...they were normal people tryna make a living they jus got off work and were on there way home as they did every nigth for many years they were good people its sad that they had to go so soon....just pray for the family those of you that no how to pray...also pray for mr.stephens and his family in a way his life is gone too....

@ jan31 2012 he is In prison...he's not a bad person just a bad.judgement ...and he was not an illegal he has a wife and 3 beautiful seeds...just f ed up on the choices that were mad....my heart goes out to the family who lost their loved oned...peace
Yeah he got like two years for driving drunk and leading cops on a multi county chase. P.o.s. should've fried for his crimes. Not a bad person my ass. Oh by the way. The guy refused treatment at the hospital and ran! MSP failed to detain this guy. Sent him to Prmc in an ems unit alone.
