while I agree that the jury is still out on the affects of global climate change, the info. presented in this picture is misleading.
Yes polar ice melts in summer, the problem is that now we have larger areas which are totally ice free.
While polar bear numbers are high today, fears of extinction are in response to models that predict population growth based on a number of biotic and abiotic factors. Now, you can dispute these models all you want, but the fact is that the current number of bears does not necessarily predict what the model estimates for future populations will be.
It's not Global Warming. Its ""Climate Change""
Al Gore created global warming.
First, there was an ICE AGE, then, slowly, things thawed and slowly warmed up. Now it's today.

Global warming was created by the Democrats so that they could create a tax for it which the did ! It's a scam !!!

The jury is NOT still out. Anyone in the science community that doesn't have a vested interest in the form of politically motivated government grant funding, has laughed this APGM (Man Made Global Warming) right out of the room.
Every single day another claim by the Global Warming alarmists is debunked discredited and tossed on the trash heap of junk science. The State media refuses to cover anything but the alarmists thou indicating an agenda.

Shorter winters is caused by global warming
Dry summers is caused by global warming
Wet summers is caused by global warming
Lots of hurricanes is caused by global warming
Quiet hurricane season is called by global warming
The list goes on and on.
The real truth is that cap and trade is just a vehicle for more government control and fewer individual freedoms.
Cap and trade is also the first step toward one world government.
Don't even engage an alrmist with the argument about global warming. The true argument is global government!
Again if you guys would quit all the hyperpartisanship we might be able to squeeze the truth out of the current scientific knowledge and make some sound judgments. Instead all you hear is "Dems want to destroy business" and "Repubs. want to destoy the world". Doesn't this same refrain get tiring?

It's proven the ice masses in polar climates have expanded, shifting the peripherals out into warmer waters. While it's not that much warmer, the ice melts. Ain't Mother Nature grand?
