Maybe the answer to the health care problem is subsidies. We subsidize farms and school lunches. Maybe these insurances companies must be forced to take in people who have preexisting conditions and not be allowed to charge them extra. There are 40 million people without healthcare, if 60% got healthcare coverage it would drive down all of our premiums due to insurance companies increased volumes. There are no easy solutions, but it's wrong when someone works 3 jobs and can't afford healthcare because insurance companies want $2k a month in addition to a $5k premium.
if this is such a good thing for all of us, why isn't congress going to be covered by it?
every law they pass they should also be subject to!

Why is it wrong? What is the reason that someone is working 3 jobs? Maybe they should find another career that pays better. No more handouts!

Are you kidding me? My brother-in-law is an engineer, one of the "safe" fields, and can't find work in his field after 6 months. He's working 2 low-end jobs to make ends meet, along with his wife working a full-time one with a weekend one. They work weird shifts so they don't have to pay out much for daycare.
To answer a couple of stupid questions before they get asked, yes, they are willing to move, and no, they do not live lavishly and never have. Both he and his wife have always been careful with spending.
You people on Delmarva are so out of touch with what's really happening in this country, it's not funny.
If Obama wanted the economy to improve he would take such actions to improve economy.
That is not the case. He wants more people out of work, desparate and dependent on the government.
Tax cuts would stimulate businesses and spur hiring.
Cancel remaining 'stimulus' pork.
Only additional crisises will enable his radical policies to be forced through.

You sound klike you think the insurance companies print thier own money.
Do you think they should sell you coverage on your car AFTER you have the accident and not be allowed to charge extra?
Why should I pay higher car insurance premiums because you want to take the gamble and drive without insurance?
There is NO SUCH THING as a prexisting condition, just people that refused to get insurance until it was too late.
Maybe one less flat panel TV and you could buy your own!
