Since Salisbury police chief Allan Webster is evidently afraid to risk discipline (did Salisbury mayor Jim Ireton suddenly grow a pair?) the Tilghman Times has now gone to Barrie Comegys leader Gary Comegys to supply tall tales about the Salisbury soap opera – TapeGate. Unfortunately for Comegys and reporter Laura D’Alessandro, Comegys doesn’t appear capable of keeping the multi-threaded story straight.

Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. The entire Barrie Comegys party are pathological liars. It is a foregone conclusion.
These people have lied so much that they cannot differentiate between truth and fiction.

Now who is making this statement? The Daily Rag or Bubba Comagees?
I beg to differ, Mrs. Campbell like many others is an elected official and not just "nothing more than a citizen." Bubba is not even a citizen because you have to have a brain which he lacks.

Call the Maryland Municipal League in Annapolis and tell them what a bum this guy is.
Bubba is the next president of the MML according to the current plan.
Do you knopw what else is "missing" from the SPD files? All the tapes from my house in January of 1998 for 1.5 days in January.

Nothing new, Comegys, Webster, FOB's AND anyone working for the DT's can't tell the truth if they had to.
Al Webster should know a thing or two about serial lying, falsifying documents, shredding evidence, destroying evidence and placing false information in personnel files. He is the master. Good Luck Al. What comes around goes around!

If there was a legitimate investigation the mayor would not have ended it. He gave Webster time to produce evidence or close the Barrie Tilghman initiated investigation. Webster could not produce any evidence, therefore it should have been ended. Instead, Webster continued and "someone" continued to leak documents to the Daily Times and his blogger.
Ireton has not supported Campbell in this, truth is he has been supporting Webster and Tilghman. Fact is he berated Campbell in such a loud tone at the end of the council meeting it was heard by anyone left on the third floor.
Barrie Tilghman should have been asked these questions. She handed the city to the slumlords with her blessings. She continues to run the council, Louise, Shanie and Gary are not smart enough to come up with some of the things they have presented.
Comegys asks what would be accomplished by releasing what she wants? I'd like to know what do they have to hide by not releasing it?

This is so true and it just breaks my heart to see what this young man has turned into. I had no idea he was so hateful and aggressive towards Mrs. Campbell and the citizens that that voted for him.
Mayor Ireton it is not to late to save face and make a public apology for you actions since you have been elected.
Mayor Ireton is Mayor and has to honor the responsibilities of his office. I voted for him and I remain hopeful. Is help on the way? Not political favors, but the help in government reform that we have all been waiting for? A new fire chief: someone who lives int eh city, please; a pubic works director who will lead us to a working WWTP that we don't have to pay for twice; an on-time audit that has accurate numbers; and a relationship for the public with our government, including the police department that doesn't involve fear of retribution. I'm still hopeful taht help is on the way.
Relax everybody. If Comegys is the point man for this campaign it is sure to fall apart.
When are people going to take a stand on their own without bringing in outside support. Politicians in this country needs to grow a pair. This is the downfall of society as we know it today. Why this issue keeps surfacing after all these years is beyond me.
Why are you worried about Salisbury, you live in Hebron GA, isn't there enoough issues there for you

The article in the daily times about Ms. Campbell, and her demands to the Mayor are so porly written, convoluted and stupid that it makes ones head swim in confusion.Additioally Mr. Comegys making wild and even more stupid comments just put the icing on the cake. I had to write..
1. Mr.Comegys, Ms. Campbell is an elected official.
2. Mr. Webster has been attacking Ms. Campbell publicly, quoted in the newspaper on several occasions.
together with some very stupid quotes from others including the former Mayor. All against Ms. Campbell.
3. Mr. Webster's boss is Mayor Jim Ireton. In order to try to get the situation out in the light of day , Ms.Campbell asked Mr. Webster’s boss, (the mayor) for his assistance.
4. Mr.Comegys, you were a State employee you surely know the chain of command when one has a personnel problem.
5. Mr.Comegys in my opinion you are an idiot, making such accusations, on "hearsay" and your analogy to Mr.Nixon is also very stupid. Do you think the voters are as dumb as you are? Rest assured, they are not. You again have proven that you known nothing about politics, and nothing about history to boot.

Mark Tyler stated he took the tape, did not review it, did not make copies of it.
Why is he still on SPD payroll? He admits he stole evidence from an ongoing investigation. An investigation for which there are no records. Did he take the records as well?
If Gary Comegy's lips are moving you are in for a far-fetched self-centered point of view. He needs to go along with Louise Smith another poor excuse for a Council President. Poor Salisbury..Where is this help you all were saying was coming. It was definitely not Jim Ireton as Salisbury's Mayor. Get rid of Wilbur as the city attorney and start over with the department heads. The good old boy addage is destroying the city.
