BUSTED

Yesterday a loyal reader was on his lunch break when the SPD arrived at Rugged Warehous to arrest an individual attempting to steal a hat, of all things. Thanks Sean!

Gotta be the dumbest people in Salisbury.

Three cruisers for a shoplifter? I'm positive there are better things the other two officers could be doing.

3 units for a shop lifter? 8 dollar hat calls for 3 units? WOW! Chief, is that standard? Seems like a waste of manpower when the city needs more patrolling. Thanks Sean for showing us how SPD spends there time. How about those traffic stats? The other 2 could be racking up stats.

Should have brought the ladder truck to cover anyone trying to escape out the roof with the scarf.

3 officers were needed because the SPD are ALL SCARED. They are too afraid to do police work alone, let alone take on a big bad shoplifter with one unit. Good luck getting another unit in the county. The state and Sheriff's do it all by themselves, because they are not scared!! Plain and simple.

We were not there, was this person resisting. If they were two cars maybe. What can be said is this. Why are the arresting officer having to process this shoplifter for a misdemenor when the store manager can take out charges on their own after proper identification is made by the officer. To much time wasted with the arrest, processing and court.

With all the crime is there enough room at the jail maybe we could find room at the zoo !

This guy pushed one of the clerks and had a knife taken off of him. Now if one of our SPD officers was stabbed you same people would be
b!tching how we didn't send enough units.

Three cop cars, Should have had some of them firemen there too in case one of em cops pee'd emself when the perp said BOO.What a waist of taxpayer resources for one theif. Too bad they miss a whole host of other crimes just for one criminal that will beat the charge in out wonderful screwed up system.

wow a whole lot of bashing against people who actually respond to violent criminals every day of their life.... "in case one of em cops pee'd emself when the perp said BOO"??? If it had been someone breaking into your house with a large knife that they pumped 30 bullets into (like happened a few months ago) would your 'tude be a little different? Get a life.

This is why they can't find the two #1 males with their black hoodies running rampant all over the city, robbing banks and shooting store clerks in the face when they hand over the $$.
I want my concealed carry permit!

Outstand warrant for this guy for attempted murder out of Delaware. The reason for three units and 5 officers were sent once they reaalixed who it was. Reocrd a mile long.

3 cars for a simple shop lift? Where is the fire truck, ambulance, sway team and dog squad? Are they that desparate for an arrest? Or just that imcompetent?

Which guy? The person that is being put into the back of the police car looks like a female to me. I just hope that is not her kids standing in the door way having to watch this.

I think the police have a hard enough job without having more people dumping on them for the arrests they make. Get behind our police officers and give them a word of thanks once in awhile instead of all the critical BS that appears here everytime the cops are mentioned. We applaud our troops in the war zones overseas--I think that there is a war going on here on the Shore--back up our local "troops".

When the police stop treating the constitution like toilet paper. When they begin to follow the countries laws like the rest of us. When they stop the insidous practice of continually stripping us of our freedoms from said consitution, then they will begin to earn our support. not now, certainly.

Is the young child in the doorway a child of the shoplifter? What a shame for her.

I don't think so, those kids seemed very calm while this was happening.
