Get ready for this - it is a cake! It was made for a post rehearsal party dessert and the crabs, corn, and basket are edible.
Even the Old Bay is made of white chocolate. The entire $700 cake was edible!

a cake very similar to this was made by Charm City Cakes (on TV Ace of Cakes) for the Phillips 50th Anniversary
Ill bet that David at cakes by david here in salisbury could make that cake too. They made a mallard duck for the fund raiser at the ward museum a couple of weeks ago. I was at the fundraiser for the zoo last month or so and they had made a 6 foot alligator. enough to serve 500 - 600 servings. It is amazing what they can do with cake and icing. It tastes good too.
That is great work. I was looking at those crabs thinking they look like Stone Crabs except for the small claws. Almost got me!
Now that is artistic! Although the divorce cakes were best. I am making one for my sister's divorce celebration.
I'd say that's a real 'crabcake' Ha!
