I feel compelled to respond to another of your late night emails criticizing
County Executive Pollitt. Mr. Pollitt by no means accepted 100 percent credit.
He was very complimentary of Director Devenyns. In fact, the article in the
paper was all about Mr. Devenyns success and Mr. Pollitt giving him credit.
Thus, I find your email confusing at best. I am sure Mr. Pollitt would welcome
an apology.

You call 8 yrs of trying to get it right a success. Mr McCain you are the one that is confused. If Rick Pollitt wants to take credit for something let him take credit for the secret raises he handed out.
I agree 3:25! Pollitt would have had to lie in order to give Devenyns any credit for anything. WCDC is still just one big mess no matter what the DOJ says and Devenyns is just one big loser. Pollitt can also take credit for his so called transparency in government. Having sex in your office is not exactly what most think of as running an organization by the book. No wonder it took eight years, he could have probably done it in 7 if it were not for the sexual excapades. Oh well, the taxpayers get taken advantage of again.
Mr. McCain is part of the problem. As council VP maybe you should have worked a little harder in order to get rid of Devenyns and we would not be in the mess we are in now. The taxpayers do not need more lawsuits caused by DDD.
Pollitt should have accepted 0% credit for anything having to do with the WCDC. Only when he gets rid of Doug Devenyns will he deserve any credit whatsoever.
Bill McCain, why don't you just go away. You are a POS and typical of your dysfunctional friends like BPT, Bubba Comagees, Mike Dumb and Lynn Catfart.
I hope you don't run for re-election because you have been a big disappointment.

I am disappointed that Rick Pollitt is taking 100% credit for a "key move in achieving compliance" of the Dentention Center Settlement Agreement. First rule I learned as a Council Person is that Department Heads know more and understand more than I do. Second rule is that I would not accept acknowledgment for the achievement of a County Department Head.

Hang in there -- Billy Mac is like a broken record, and he won't be on the next County Council even if her runs again.
It seems that most would be inclined to agree with Gail rather than Bill McCain. I don't know either of them but I do know director devenyns, and he deserves no credit for anything good that may have taken place at WCDC. On the other hand he (Devenyns) deserves all of the credit for everything that is wrong at WCDC. pollitt and McCain must be in denial over what the situation really is at WCDC. Do you Mr. McCain think that the pending lawsuits are a positive reflection of Mr. Devenyns performance?

You know, a while back someone claiming to be the editor of this blog, posted that any post that was personally mean and offensive shall not be allowed. I guess that person must be off for the holiday. I do not know Mr McCain but it seems he is making a point in a very civil and professional way. The responses to this post are totally out of line and offensive. Do we only get censored on here when we do not agree with the extreme right wing philosophy of this blog? Or, like the editors here like to claim, this is a legitimate news source and by definition all points of view are represented???????????????
The WCDC is a cesspool because County Government continues to deny the problem and laud Devenyns.
In fact, Devenyns is corrupt and incompetent, as anyone with a modicum of sense can see.

Bill McCain is a good man. All the nasty post about him will not phase him at all because he is above this type of crap. All of you wish you had half the smarts this man has. He is one of the most successful business men in this county.
Don't worry folks. McCain will soon be history. Anyone on the inside or outside for that matter can easily tell he'll not succeed at another term.
Anyone can easily beat him out as he has no hootspa. All is reasoning and decision making are based on flawed principles.

This guy is a slime ball. He should find that young lady and apologize for taking having her work for him in hopes of brighter things only to get rid of her a few weeks later. Guess he had to meet that Afirmitative action deadline. What a jerk!
Kudos to Gail B.!!!! She is one of the few real council members who truly fulfills her position as a check and balance for the people to the executive side. We can only be so lucky to get more like her in the next election.
