Where Can You Go To Get That Special Mother's Day Gift?

PARKER PLACE ON THE DOWNTOWN PLAZA
They open at noon tomorrow, even on Mother's Day. They'll be open until 5:00 today. If you've never been, this place is really cool. Its right at the very end of the Downtown Plaza and their prices are very reasonable. In fact, I don't know how they do it with prices this low. The variety of plants and flowers is fantastic. Click on any of the images above to enlarge to get a better look around. Come on Folks, support a local business owner and support the Downtown Plaza.

Joe,
Although I appreciate the retail businesses that go the extra mile, I must say, I realize why other businesses fail.
I have recently contacted contractors and landscapers to do work. Although they show up to see what needs to be done, they never quote and you never hear from them again. I guess they are looking for the "Big One".
As the owner of a business, I can tell you, there are allot of smaller jobs than the one big one.
If all of the contractors and landscapers are looking to score their yearly projections on one customer, they are sadly mistaken.

By pushing the little jobs away, they are securing their fate. May they R.I.P.!!

Ann Parker Taylor runs a great shop. The plants we have gotten from her in the past have lasted well thru the summer. Support your local businesses before you run up to Lowes.

3:51 Make sure your own house is clean before you choose to pick on others. They are fantastic people, great business owners and wonderful for downtown.

I agree that Ann runs a wonderful business and she is very creative and artistic.

I believe she gets her plants wholesale from the greenhouse, Grist Mill in Pittsville. So, Ann is also helping another locally owned business.

In my opinion, she is very conscientious in trying to support her fellow local business people.

Kudos to her for doing so!

I love Anne's shop and her garden center. Her displays are always cheeful and full of color. Always esthetically pleasing. She is also always helpful and willing to chat. The lady has a knack for putting things together eclectically that I would never dream of doing. Keep up the good work Anne and I'll keep spending my money with you.

I bought beautiful cream/yellow begonias from her last year and am enjoying them again this year.

I want some stephanotis (sp?) plants - a tropical vine. Does Parker Plance have any? If not, any suggestions for other local sources?
