Letter To The Editor
Joe, you might want to post a warning on the blog. There is a lot of accidents on the roads and MSP is saying it is black ice. Everyone should drive careful.

I almost fell down on my back deck and the dogs went sliding off it. They didn't know what was happening!!! Thank goodness I didn't fall down. I called my grandson ( new driver) he is staying in tonight~~~That was at 7:00 pm.
If you have no need to go out tonight please don't. Someone might get killed, there are way to many accidents tonight and they can be avoided by staying home.
I guess not salting the bridges last time that resulted in a fatal accident isn't enough to get the salt trucks on the roads BEFORE the accidents start. God why are these morons running things? I think the common man/ woman who actually work every day to make ends meat would do a much better job than the highly educated idiots that currently do!
I got home around 8:30 pm. I live just outside Berlin. I was turning on to Route 376 from Sinepuxent Road and my tires started slipping just as turned on the little bridge there. I was totally shocked and not expecting that.

One was a reported structure fire in a residence on Bonneville Ave, one was an MVC and another was a reported structure fire in a business.
when it is winter time, and it snows, or rains and gets below freezing, there will be ice. You can slip on it. If you dont want to slip in ice when it is below freezing and has been snowing/raining, stay in your house. Dont blame someone else because you slipped on ice. How ridiculous.

Plenty of accidents, black ice in Dorchester and Wicomico Counties.

I just got home from Millsboro just after 8:30 PM.
Several times, it seemed that the car hit something slick, and I especially noticed it on a small bridge. I figured it was ice.
The outside temp indicator on my car's dash showed the outside temp at about 35.
I think it may need to be re-calibrated, I'm afraid.

It's actually 35/36 degrees outside so no need to get it recalibrated. That's what Black Ice is all about.
When they say stay off the roads they mean stay home.
They don't mean drive off the roads.

I think i am going to contact the aclu, all this reference to "black" ice is discriminating. Whats up wit the white ice? You can slip on it too!!
I, too, almost fell on my back around 6:30 on Friday night. They really need to start putting salt down in the college ave. shoppes.
