"I went to the Donut Connection on Mt. Hermon Road to get donuts for my little Christmas party. I was expecting to find donuts decorated in holiday sprinkles...WRONG. nothing! I was in a big hurry and told them of my displeasure of no Christmas Donuts. They shrugged their shoulders and said no they had not had any. My reply was well I might come back next spring and I might not. I will be going to DeVages when the grandkids come from Georgia this weekend. We had spent lots of money at the Donut Connection, but no longer! Even if they don't celebrate Christmas, they better remember their customers do! We are the ones that count. I am boycotting Donut Connection!

What lucky people you are, if the absence of decorated donuts is your biggest issue right now.
Go to Dunkin. And do some volunteer work, you'll see people who would love a donut, regardless of what it looks like.
If that's the worst thing that happens to you on Christmas, I'm sure you will be fine. There are others out there with bigger problems than that!Some may not have REAL food at all. Thankfully people, like Joe and many others, have donated their time to help others in need. I'm sure whomever comes to your party will be just as merry without the Christmas themed doughnuts! That is the most ridiculous reason to boycott a place. I always get wonderful service when I go there. And the ladies are always so nice and you don't see that much anymore especially going through a drive thru.

It's great to see that mentally challenged persons are able to figure out how to post their most important issues on this blog. Gee, If donuts were the only thing providing stress in my life right now I would truly be rejoiceing. You may want to consider a twelve step group. By the way, twelve comes right after eleven and before thirteen!
You could always buy glazed donuts and warm them up a bit then sprinkle your own colored decorations on them.

You know something Folks, many years ago I learned something that stuck with me for all these years I'd like to share with all of you.
A friend of mine who owned a huge manufacturing company told me he had what he called an open door policy. He had been in business 35 years and any time ANYONE wanted to come through his door and speak to him directly they could do so. He said, you know something Joe, after 35 years, I've heard some pretty unbelievable stuff. HOWEVER, what may seem stupid and simple to me is at that moment the most important thing in that person's life when they walk through that door.
Look, we can't please everyone with every post we put up. Heck, there are many I don't even agree with myself. However, it creates interest, discussion and debate.
That being said, lighten up Folks and celebrate the Holidays. Heck, cal me, I've got some slots open to ring the bell that are rainy and cold and you can burn all that enegy serving a good cause if you'd like?
Merry Christmas and don't sweat the small stuff.

Barb has a right to complain as you have the right not to. It's good for a business to get complaints to help improve it. I have my own problems like everyone else, people are people. What is a major problem may seem trivial to someone else. That's what makes these blogs interesting.
Are you f'ing serious lady? This has to be one of most absurd complaints I have ever heard. You're worry about donut sprinkles when some people are worrying about how they are going to put food (sprinkleless) on the table. Make your own donuts holy roller.
Give her a break. She was just sharing with you one thing that was important to her. She didn't say that was the biggest problem she has. It was for her Christmas party and she had her hopes set on donuts decorated for Christmas. Why wouldn't she think she could get them there?

Barb, You self centered narcissistic boob. The employees at the Donut Connection are the friendliest I have seen, to the point that I am something amazed at what they put up with, considering people like you. The elderly black woman is so nice and refuses to take a tips.
There are the only donut shop that have a true cinnamon bowtie. Their donuts are bigger and taste better than their big competitor. So got get you sprinkle somewhere else and instill in your little grandchildren that if people don't bow down and kiss you A** every time you have a whim, cry like a spoiled little brat. They will become well balanced adults,,,yea right.

Thanks, awesome readers of the blog, for this most entertaining discussion. I've laughed out loud a couple of times, and have learned a couple of important life lessons...
1. Don't sweat the small stuff.
2. If you decide to ignore #1, at least don't be foolish enough to write it on the blog.
I think the point may be this business should be doing whatever it can to make money and make their customers happy. It boggles my mind in todays world the lack of follow through and effort made by most businesses. I called a local computer store last week, they were busy so someone took my name and number. Guess what? No return call. I orderded what I needed off the internet. Same goes for a local service company I called. They just flat out kept blowing me off and I know they are not that busy. Guess what? My business went to someone else after 2 months of waiting(and they will be here this coming week). The list goes on and on.......In regards to this whole ASAP theft case. I say we start posting any and all businesses that use his service and let them know we are going to boycott them.

A *real* grandmother would make homemade donuts for her grandchildren! I am glad she won't be at Donut Connection....More for me!! The workers there are all so kind and the owner is also very nice and will always strike up a conversation when he is there. Go ahead to the BIG competitor whre the donuts are stale..go the Devages..where it will bust your wallet open for a donut that takes 3 bites to eat!

I don't think whether you come back in the spring is going to cause the clerk at the Donut Connection to lose any sleep at night. You are putting a spin on this that was not intended - not having Christmas donuts does not mean the business is anti-Christmas. And so what if they are? Not all of their customers DO celebrate Christmas. It's not a crime to not be a Christian *gasp*. They are in business to sell donuts (dang good ones at that) not to cater to your beliefs. I bet you never stopped for a second to realize that clerk is probably only making $7-8 an hour....

I believe the point of all of this should be that a lot of businesses are afraid to acknowledge Christmas in any way. I frankly don't know what they are afraid of but they just do not want to offend anyone. It's sad but true. With the Muslim religion being the fastest growing religion in the world, businesses are just preparing for the next generation I would guess.

Hey Barb...by your own admission, you aren't a loyal or frequent customer anyway. You said you were there to get Christmas donuts and because they didn't have them you "might not come back in the spring". If you only go there once a season, I really don't think they will miss you. Maybe I'm wrong. In fact, I think I will drive by there today to see if they are having a "Please come back Barb...we miss you party" While I'm there I will thak the ladies for their wonderful service and outstanding food. Go to DD and get an inferior product. You are the reason a local business person has such a hard time staying afloat. When I spend my money, I try to patronize local buisnessess as much as possible and not some CORPORATE conglomerate.
