Wow that is really sad! Always trying to hush the true reporters (the bloggers) because they have no political agenda or people to make happy. They actually tell the truth and let others who don't know it konw!! Keep up the good work BLOGGERS!

To my way of thinking slander is slander and a lie is a lie whether it is posted in a blog, published in a news paper (after all, newspaper articles are often just personal opinions) told by word of mouth or by a note passed in the school room. Bullying is bullying whether physical or cyber.
An individual should be held just as accountable for the "news" (s)he puts on the internet as(s)he is for spoken words in a public or private forum. The primary difference is that the written word is more proveable.

If that were the case the Daily Diatribe would be shut down for good. Ah, like the mayor's article slandering Tim Spies before the last election? That was total BS.

Agh, no criticism of the city for late audits every year and a budget that was planned to come out after the election of 2007 to let the voters know they were being shafted with a 14% tax hike?

The papers claim that crime is down, yet now we know the chief has requested more officers for many years and the mayor has ignored the request and even kept the public and city council in the dark regarding the requests. If crime is down, it is due to people locking themselves up in their own homes at night afraid to go outside.
