Congratulations Station 7
It was exactly one year ago today Station 7 swung their doors in Pittsville. Look, if you haven't been there, it's well worth the trip.
Originally they were closed on Sundays but now they're not only open on Sundays, they're now serving breakfast too! That's right, after the 1st of the year they'll be open at 8:00 AM on Saturday & Sunday for breakfast.
A new outdoor dining area has been established and the decor continues to evolve over time. If you haven't been there yet, give it a shot. Congratulations Todd & Carroll Wampler.

Joe, I must say that we have given Station 7 two chances for dinner on Friday nights. Each time, we were not impressed with anything except the service. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing! The first time, I ordered salmon. Portions were small, but adaquate. The cole slaw was about 2 tablespoons worth of nothing and the baked potato, well you can't screw that up too much. The next time, I can't remember what I got, but we also took our daughter and her 16 year old son. Again, NOT IMPRESSED. This time we had desert and actually it was great~ JMO Maybe you could suggest something else. IF you liked it, we must be missing something.
Try the steak or the BBQ!
A small, but often overlooked detail--the french fries both times we were there were delicious! Hot, crispy, perfectly seasoned. The fish and chips are yummy.
Final Frontier
I haven't been there in the evening but have during the day and afternoon (3) times in all. The Seafood fondue and bucket of cornbread !!!! My visits have been Great and worth the trip and money.

I have visited Station 7 frequently since they have been open and have always been impressed by not only the food and service, but overall atmosphere. They don't have a baked potato to screw up though. Give them another chance and maybe you'll realize the rare opportunity to experience a real meal from real people.
