The Daily Times Deletes My Comments

Earlier today I put up some comments on Storychat. City 1732 put up a comment challenging me as manufacturing information, so I countered with evidence.

Since this proof completely damaged the entire article the Times put up, they pulled it. I then stated it was Yellow Journalism and they too pulled that comment. There were no curse words in my message.

I implore all of you to cancel your subscription to this Newspaper as they refuse to follow the first rule of journelism, "Freedom Of Speech." Unless, that is, it makes the Times look like crap.

Yeah, Joe. Let's see what the times had to hide....They are a bunch of ignorant sh*ts.

Joe, hate to knit-pick, but it's JournAlism. We goofy reporters are sticklers for this kind of thing. - Gannon

I can't cancel something I don't get. If it wasn't free online I wouldn't bother, period.

Once in a while I'll post a gripe to grapevine. Not because I want an anonymous comment, it's just not worth a full editorial since I am limited to 200 words a month while the mayor gets space for a 700 word meaningless essay's anytime. Who now covers the city since Katherine Crowell left for greener pastures? She had limits to what she could write, she was much better than the poison pen of Lauren Hall.

I don't write letters to the editor anymore. If you read the editorials and have been for years you will notice several people that used to contribute at least once a month, no longer participate in part of the blind media circus machine.

I may not always be right, I would rather stand on my own wrong words than a chopped up edited piece. I must say the last time I did write one they printed it word for word and I made damn sure it was under the 200 words so they couldn't use that excuse for hacking my letter.

One letter they printed, when they edited my piece, they totally chopped off the end of a sentence and didn't correct it, so it looked like I never finished the sentence and left off the period at the end. Then Joe informed me that one of the anti blogs had posted that my letter looked like the writing's of a third grader, not that I give a rat's caboose either.

I may write an editorial in the future, it would have to be something that I would feel people that don't do blogs or Internet may be interested in knowing or should very well be aware of, in that case it probably wouldn't be selected for print. I have also noticed that a lot of people now (At work and on the street) are hearing things and speaking out about things they wouldn't read in the paper, so there are many closet bloggers out there.

This isn't just about the Zoo, the chief, the mayor and cronies any longer. It's about another late audit which will lead to another late budget, it's about a crumbling empire that never existed. It look's to me like the mayor need's some Ridlin. Subjects and agendas change in the blink of an eye due to lack of foresight. I bet jaw bones dropped when all those electricians showed up for the inspection dialog in the council chambers, and will bet that even more show up at the next one. I would say the Weezie may need some Ridlin, unfortunately it doesn't help dementia. Where's that on time audit Louise? You campaigned it being your strength, budgets, audits, accountability and your fine tooth comb (That is missing many teeth), "you just want to be on the side that's winning." Bob Dylan - Positively Forth Street.

If I had submitted the above for an editorial there wouldn't be enough left for a grapevine comment..........

No comments should ever be "pulled." Everyone has the right to speak their mind.

Not in the opinion of the majority of this city council. No rights to free speach, and if you want to ask questions ask how much will it cost first~!!

This city administration makes Stalin and Mussolini look like Captain Kangaroo and Pee Wee Herman.
