The Cat Is Out Of The Bag

Effective today I have finalized the contracts to purchase 300 W. Main Street on the Downtown Plaza.

This location will ultimately become Headquarters for the Jannace Campaign and I must say, I think it's one of the nicest buildings in all of Salisbury.

I am open to all kinds of creative ideas as to what to do with the building. I do know I'll be setting up an Office some time next week there and over time I'm sure I'll come up with something very creative for it.

Maybe another Sanford & Son Junk Yard?

Well gang,
today is first for me.
I religeously listen to bill reddish on my way into work in the morning. TODAY I had to turn it off, I just could not listen to anymore from that Hillary Spence, I know bill has to allow equal time for the candidates but cripes, can he at least serve some cheese with that whine!

That's a shame grassroots but you're also a liar. I just landed this deal a week ago so this person couldn't have made a decision around me. Secondly, they moved out a couple of months ago and new tennants are renting the apartments with higher rent and longer leases. Nice try though.

You're a very paranoid person grassrots. I never said I knew of any Mark. I did know there were tennants in the apartments and during the recent sale I was told that new tennants had moved in with higher rent and longer leases.

Also, UNLIKE you, I pay CASH for everything I buy so closings for me happen in a week or so, not months. Can we drop this now because you're really getting nowhere and the people that had moved out did so before any contracts for me purchasing this building ever happened. End of story.

You should have seen this building in 1984. It was a disaster. I worked in every part of this building as it was being renovated. The credit for this building being beautiful goes to Palmer Gillis. He also should be credited with reviving several other downtown buildings. So what happened to Webster & Webster?

They're closing up the shop and moving to Florida.

The Key Club, the name would be good as the windows on the tower look like keys. This second story room is where the alter was. I feel it deserves a more distinguished name. When I interviewed for "Gillis Builders" the renovations hadn't even started. I saw it when NOTHING had been done. I sat at a beautiful cherry desk and brand new equipment surrounded by plastic walls, one of those big construction heaters for heat and jack hammers . . . It Was Great! Every time an office was renovated it would be rented and we would move into another disaster area of the building . . . The stairs to the second floor will give you a work out. Those beautiful windows were restore in 1982. I say them laid out on the floor on brown paper with every piece traced and numbered. I do believe Dean Goslee was the one that did them.

Something tells me I get the broom closet. :)

But it looks like a nice building. How about more interior shots?

Sorry Michael, I didn't know you cared so much. Of course you can have an office. LOL
