Media: Don’t Use the ‘Mob Word’

The confirmation battle for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh unleashed a mob of protesters against the right over the past several weeks, but the media has largely agreed not to describe the protesters as a mob.

"Oh, you're not going to use the mob word here," CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin bemoaned.

Baldwin's colleague Don Lemon got in a shouting match with a guest because he described Kavanaugh protesters as a mob.

"That's not a mob," Lemon declared.

Beyond cable news hosts and contributors, Democratic lawmakers have also pounced on the talking point. Rep. Gerry Connolly (D., Va.) criticized the word "mob" in an interview with the Hill, saying, "describing political opponents and huge pockets of the electorate as the ‘mob’ is really inciting something ugly."

Manchin’s Failure to Report $700K D.C. Yacht Sparks Call for Probe

A government watchdog group is calling for a probe into Joe Manchin's (D., W.V.) failure to report ownership of a limited liability company that holds a $700,000 yacht he lives on while he is in Washington, D.C.

A complaint was filed to the Senate Select Committee on Ethics Thursday by the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT), a D.C.-based ethics watchdog organization, alleging that Manchin violated Senate Ethics Rules in relation to financial disclosures.

Manchin bought a 65-foot yacht, which he named "Almost Heaven", in October 2013 for $700,000. Manchin later transferred ownership of the yacht to Country Roads Marine LLC—a West Virginia-based LLC—that Manchin and his wife incorporated and are listed as members and officers, records show. Manchin docks the boat on the Potomac River in Southeast D.C. and resides in it while he is in the city.

However, since 2013, Manchin has failed to report ownership of Country Roads Marine LLC.

CNN Goes Racist: Kanye West’s Oval Office Performance Was ‘a Minstrel Show’

Thursday on CNN’s “The Situation Room,” network host Don Lemon called hip-hop star Kanye West’s appearance in the Oval Office today “a minstrel show.”

Lemon said, “I have no animosity for Kanye West. I’m just going to be honest, and I may get in a lot of trouble for it. I actually feel bad for him. What I saw was a minstrel show today—him in front of all these white people, mostly white people embarrassing himself and embarrassing Americans but mostly African Americans because every one of them is sitting either at home or with their phones watching this, cringing.”

West OC Raids Come After Federal Indictment; Ramadan Held On Fugitive From Justice Warrant

WEST OCEAN CITY — The investigation involving the execution of a search and seizure warrant at residences in West Ocean City early Thursday morning is still active, but a few more details have trickled out Thursday.
A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spokesperson on Thursday afternoon confirmed federal ICE and Homeland Security (HSI) officials, assisted by other federal and local law enforcement partners on Thursday morning, executed a search and seizure warrant in the Ocean City area as a result of a federal indictment being issued. The residences at which the search and seizure warrant was served is located in the Oyster Harbor community in West Ocean City.
A similar raid was conducted at the same residences in 2013 and resulted in the indictment and eventual conviction of two local men — Basel Ramadan and Samer Ramadan — in a vast cigarette smuggling and money laundering operation. In 2015, Basel Ramadan, who was deemed the ringleader of the operation, was found guilty on all 198 counts against him including enterprise corruption, money laundering and numerous tax crimes.

Expert Witness Maintains Topless Women Would Not Offend Majority

OCEAN CITY — The plaintiffs’ expert witness on the female toplessness issue in Ocean City opined in written testimony the town’s ordinance passed in 2017 does not reflect “public sensibilities” on the subject.

Last January, a civil suit was filed in U.S. District Court challenging an emergency ordinance passed by the Mayor and Council last year prohibiting females from going topless in the same areas as men are allowed to go shirtless, including the beach and Boardwalk, for example. In June, the plaintiffs in the case, including local resident Chelsea Eline and four others, filed a motion for a preliminary injunction that would allow them to go topless in certain areas of the resort while the larger case runs its course.

A hearing originally set for September was postponed at the last minute to allow the attorney for the plaintiffs in the case to acquire the services of an expert witness to weigh in on Ocean City’s assertion allowing female toplessness in certain public areas including the beach “offends the sensibilities of the general public.”

The plaintiffs’ attorney, Devon Jacob, enlisted Dr. Debra Herbenick, professor and director of the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University-Bloomington, to research the “public sensibilities” issue in regard to Ocean City’s ordinance that prohibits female toplessness in certain public areas and make an official report to be entered as evidence in the ongoing civil suit. Herbenick, also a noted sex educator and sex advice columnist, formally filed a pair of reports on the issue last Friday.

Mississippi governor condemns high school band’s halftime show

Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant is condemning a high school band for a football halftime performance that he said was “unacceptable in a civilized society.”

Many are saying the performance Friday night by the band from Forest Hill High School depicted students dressed as doctors and nurses pointing toy guns at SWAT team members prone on the ground, WLBT-TV reported.

Bryant issued his condemnation Saturday in a tweet.

The performance was held at the high school in Brookhaven where two police officers were killed in the line of duty Sept. 29 responding to a call of shots fired, the station reported

Brookhaven’s mayor said the band director was placed on administrative leave, the station reported.

Reports said the performance was based loosely on the movie “John Q,” in which a father played by Denzel Washington takes patients at a hospital hostage in order to secure treatment for his son.

“The band’s performance does not depict the values and people in our community, and was incredibly insensitive to the students, families, law enforcement officials and the entire Brookhaven community,” Jackson superintendent Errick Greene said.

Robert Redford Now Feels ‘Out of Place’ in the America ‘I Was Born Into’

Perhaps this Hollywood liberal and others can understand how many fellow citizens felt during the Obama presidency

Actor, filmmaker, and Sundance Film Festival founder Robert Redford published an essay titled “A Brief Statement About Big Things” on the Sundance Institute’s website Saturday, writing that he feels “out of place in the country I was born into.”

Known for iconic acting roles in the classics “The Way We Were” with Barbra Streisand, “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” with screen legend Paul Newman, and the Nixon-era Watergate investigation classic “All the President’s Men,” the 82-year-old is also well-known as the director of “Ordinary People” and “A River Runs Through It.”

Redford is known, too, as an outspoken liberal activist, and although he and other liberals might not ever acknowledge it, his feelings mirror how many Americans felt during the Obama presidency. That administration ushered in the Affordable Care Act, aggressive “comprehensive sex education” in the nation’s classrooms, the repeal of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” LGBT policy in the military, and the 2015 Iran nuclear deal — which President Donald Trump abandoned earlier this year.

Redford’s “overtly political speech” was published the same day that Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh was voted onto the Supreme Court after a protracted and fraught confirmation process.

Kavanaugh is not mentioned by name in his piece, but Redford called out “bigotry, mean-spiritedness, and mockery as the now-normal tools of the trade,” which follows the liberal activist playbook.

Calls Come for Delaware's Carper to Resign Over Domestic Violence

Alice Butler-Short, a Virginia political activist and Trump supporter, called Thursday for Delaware Sen. Tom Carper to resign based on a reported incident of domestic violence in the early 1980s against his then-wife Diane.

Butler-Short, founder and president of Virginia Women for Trump, presented a letter calling for Carper’s resignation at his Senate office on Capitol Hill. She said she coordinated the letter with the director of Delaware Women for Trump, the Delaware affiliate of her organization.

Butler-Short told Newsmax she demanded Carper’s resignation on behalf of all women “to point out the hypocrisy and double standard” of his recent opposition to the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

“Sen. Carper has admitted to giving his wife a black eye, and Sen. Carper voted no on Judge Kavanaugh,” Butler-Short told Newsmax. “Two and two don’t add up in this case.

“If he feels that Judge Kavanaugh, now Justice Kavanaugh, was not qualified for his positon, what qualifies him as a self-admitted wife beater to be a senator from Delaware?”

Kanye West: The Left Tries to Control Black People with ‘Concept of Racism’

Hip-hop superstar Kanye West criticized the left at the White House on Thursday for trying to control black people with accusations of racism.

“A liberal will try to control a black person through the concept of racism because they know that we are very proud emotional people,” West said. “You think racism can control me? That don’t stop me, that’s an invisible wall.”

The famous rapper wore a Donald Trump campaign hat to the meeting, calling it his “superman cape” delivering an over 10-minute speech about his support for the president.

When reporters started asking him questions, he quickly responded.

“I think we need to care about all people,” he said.

Liberal Hotel Owner Offers To Take In Asylum Seekers, Finds Horrific Scene In Bathroom

As millions of mostly Muslim migrants flock to the West, their cultural and religious traditions follow across the borders as well. Although the political left insists that these practices are invaluable societal contributions, most find that multiculturalism is an opportunity for oppressive cultures to subjugate the others.

Of course, despite the left’s belief that crossing our borders magically transforms immigrants into respectable civilians, these new arrivals not only continue their customs, they also demand we accommodate them.

Thanks to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s progressive immigration policies, Canada is seeing a ceaseless flood of mostly Muslim immigrants spilling over its borders. In fact, the resource-rich country has been inundated with asylum seekers to the point in which they are running out of places to house them.

As part of a government initiative, Canadian hotels are promised subsidies for housing refugees. The problem is that some of these privileged, non-paying guests refuse to abandon their customs and assimilate, providing unsuspecting patrons with a traumatic dose of the left’s lauded diversity.

OPINION: Blacks’ Loyalty To The Democrat Party is Insane — Not Kanye West

Just as Democrats in the past gleefully attacked “uppity” African Americans, Democrats today cannot resist attacking high-profile African-Americans who dare to stray from the Democratic Party.

This has happened with Justice Clarence Thomas, General Colin Powell, Dr. Benjamin Carson, Dr. Condoleezza Rice and countless others. So, it comes as no surprise that liberals are now assailing gifted artist Kanye West for having the audacity to not only question his people’s blind loyalty to the Democratic Party but also to embrace Republican president, Donald Trump.

As punishment for these mortal sins, West has been cruelly targeted by very powerful liberal celebrities. Actor Chris Evans, for example, recently ripped West as someone “who doesn’t know history, doesn’t read books, and frames their myopia as virtue.”

ABC Executives Regret Firing Roseanne

Executives at ABC now believe that their decision to fire Roseanne Barr from their revival of Roseanne was a mistake and the network’s spin-off series The Conners may flop, according to a report from Mail Online.

Two senior executives at the network told the outlet that ABC President Channing Dungey’s decision to immediately fire the actress and cancel her show after she made racially charged comments about former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett was a “knee-jerk” decision that they would later regret.

“We didn’t think it through properly. What Roseanne did was wrong but we shouldn’t have rushed to fire her. It was almost a knee-jerk reaction by Ben [Sherwood] and Channing [Dungey] who should have launched an investigation,” one insider reportedly said. “This would have given them more time to listen to the public, advertisers and cast members to determine the best decision.”

Uh Oh, Kanye Escaped the Demo Plantation

r

Kanye West once again finds himself a “fugitive slave” of sorts for making his way via the Underground Railroad to an Oval Office meeting with President Donald Trump. There is nothing in this country that permits overt racism quite like a black person thinking for himself and refusing to toe the Democrat Plantation Party line.

West, of course, is no stranger to this type of controversy. We last wrote about his politically incorrect comments back in April. But neither is Kanye a conservative hero thoughtfully pushing Republican policies. (Remember, he’s the same guy who declared after Hurricane Katrina, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”) Let’s face it: This was a celebrity president glad-handing with another celebrity. As for West, his sole “crime” is being pals with Trump, whom Democrats are politically invested in tarnishing as a racist.

“Kanye West is what happens when Negroes don’t read,” CNN’s Bakari Sellers declared. Colleague Tara Setmayer joined in, declaring West to be “the token Negro of the Trump administration.” And CNN host Don Lemon summed it up, “What I saw was a minstrel show. …
