27.7%: Percentage of Obese Americans At Its Highest Level
Obesity hits all time high as leftists encourage unhealthy lifestyle
The incidence of American obesity hit its highest point ever last year, 27.7% of the population, according to Gallup’s report on Obesity Rankings released on Wednesday.
“Nationally, the incidence of obesity is at its highest level, rising to 27.7% in 2014, up from 27.1% in 2013 and significantly above the 25.5% recorded in 2008,” reported the survey.
The survey is the third in Gallup’s annual Well-Being Index, though Gallup has been tracking obesity rates since 2008.
The figure was calculated by asking 2.2 million Americans to self-report their height and weight, from which Gallup calculated their Body Mass Index (BMI). Individuals with a BMI of 30 or higher are classified as obese.

Massive Numbers Of Chinese Students Expelled From US Schools
An estimated 8,000 Chinese students studying in America were expelled last year for cheating or for extremely poor academic performance, a survey by a company catering to Chinese students has found.
The report was put together by WholeRen Education, which served the Chinese market, and was originally written in Chinese. It was translated by The Wall Street Journal’s China Real Time blog, which noticed the big expulsion figure. Of the approximately 8,000 expulsions, more than 80 percent were due to poor academic performance or cheating.
According to the International Institute of Education, there were 274,439 Chinese students attending U.S. universities in the 2013-14 school year, representing about one-third of all foreign college students. The figure of 8,000 expulsions suggests that almost 3 percent of Chinese students are being expelled in a given year. That number isn’t extreme, but it’s notable, especially since Chinese students studying abroad are supposed to be high achievers. More than half of those expelled were attending top 100 institutions in the U.S., an average of 40 students per school in a single year.

Baltimore Has Descended Into A State Of Lawlessness – And More Cities Will Soon Follow
Did you really think that Baltimore would return to normal after everything that has happened?
Did you really think that Baltimore would return to normal after everything that has happened? On Thursday, a mother and her 7-year-old son were both shot in the head in a double murder that has shocked the entire nation. Police believe that the son may have been shot in order to prevent him from identifying the individual that shot his mother. So is this what America is turning into? A place where 7-year-old kids are executed in cold blood? That mother and son were the 37th and 38th murder victims in the city of Baltimore so far this month. That makes this the deadliest month in Baltimore in 15 years, but because of all the controversy surrounding the death of Freddie Gray, police in Baltimore are afraid to do their jobs at this point. In some areas of the city, young men boldly smoke weed in public and wave guns around at innocent bystanders without any worry that police will intervene. Baltimore has descended into a state of lawlessness, and this is just the beginning. As I discussed just the other day, the same kind of lawlessness will soon sweep all across this country.
Have you ever been afraid to step outside of your own home? That is what day to day life is like for many residents of Baltimore right now. In fact, one woman is even barricading her door and setting up metal slabs behind her windows to deflect gunfire. Just check out the following excerpt from a recent news report about what is going on in the city…

Ocean City Prepared For ‘College Beach Week’ Event, Typical June Activities
OCEAN CITY — For several months, Ocean City public safety officials have been getting out in front of a planned beach week event next weekend that has a troubled past including discussions with the event promoter and bringing in extra law enforcement resources.
Local businesses officially learned of the planned “College Beach Week” event in early May when Ocean City Communications Director Jessica Waters and Ocean City Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Association (OCHMRA) Executive Director Susan Jones sent a letter to members alerting them of the city’s approach to the event and June in general.
“In an effort to keep communications open, we are reaching out regarding the month of June. Returning the weekend of June 5-7, 2015 will be College Beach Week. The Town of Ocean City has taken a proactive approach and met with the event organizer. They have communicated to them, as well as other groups, that they are welcome as long as they obey the same rules everyone else is expected to obey,” the letter reads. “Rest assured, there is a coordinated effort among surrounding agencies to maintain peace and order throughout June.”

The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. this morning, Saturday May 30, 2015 as Austin W. Gary Levis was properly restrained and initially transported by EMS to Beebe Healthcare before being airlifted by LifeNet to Christiana Medical Center where he is currently admitted in critical condition.
A 48 year old female passenger in the Cadillac, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was properly restrained and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into this incident and no charges have been filed at this time. Wilson Road at Savannah Road was closed for approximately four hours as the crash was investigated and cleared.
Israel, US Discussing New Security Aid Package
Israel is in early discussions with the US about a new 10-year defense assistance program, but this is not “compensation” for the possible signing of a possible nuclear deal with Iran, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday.
Netanyahu, during a briefing with Israel’s diplomatic correspondents, did not say how much Israel was requesting. With the current 10-year, $30 billion US defense assistance agreement set to expire in 2017, the two sides are negotiating the terms of a 10-year deal that according to a recent report in Defense News could be worth up to $45b.
The prime minister said this package is not a “quid pro quo” for the Iranian nuclear deal, which he said Israel continues to adamantly oppose.
The previous defense assistance memorandum of understanding was signed in August 2007 with the Bush administration, and outlined a 10-year framework of military assistance that called for incremental yearly increases that reached $3.1b. this year. Of that money, 74¢ of every dollar is spent in the US.
According to the Defense News report, this does not include US war stocks prepositioned in Israel and available for Israel’s emergency use, and nearly $500m. annually in money for joint research and development of rocket defense systems, like Iron Dome.

FEMINIST GREER ATTACKS ELTON JOHN FOR ‘DECONSTRUCTING MOTHERHOOD’
Feminist commentator Germaine Greer has criticised Elton John for calling his partner David Furnish “mother” of their two sons.
Speaking at the Hay Literary Festival, Greer accused the men of “deconstructing motherhood”, criticising them for the fact that Furnish was listed as mother on their children’s birth certificates.
“Sometimes I think that really the problem is the concept of motherhood, which we can’t give any real structure to,” she said.
“Sir Elton John and his ‘wife’ David Furnish have entered on the birth certificate of their two sons that David Furnish is the mother. I’m sorry. That will give you an idea of how the concept of motherhood has emptied out. It’s gone, it’s been deconstructed.”

Pope: I Didn't Call Abbas 'Angel of Peace'
Pope Francis denied Thursday that he had called Palestinian Authority (PA) Head Mahmoud Abbas “an angel of peace” when the two met a fortnight ago.
The pope told Israeli reporter Henrique Cymerman and his longtime friend Rabbi Avraham Skorka, that he only told Abbas – in Italian – that he believes he could still become an angel of peace in the future.
In an email message to the two, the pope added that “whoever does not accept the Jewish people and does not accept the State of Israel, which has a right to exist, is displaying anti-Semitism.”
A few days after the meeting with Abbas, the Vatican said that Pope Francis's reference to Abbas as "an angel of peace" was meant as encouragement for him to pursue peace with Israel.

Sens. Cruz and Lee: Expand School Choice For Low-Income Parents
(CNSNews) -- As Congress considers reauthorization of the bipartisan No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), U.S. Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) want to expand school choice by allowing low-income parents the opportunity to send their children to any public or private school of their choice.
Their bill, entitled the Enhancing Educational Opportunities for All Students Act (S.306), which was introduced in the Senate on January 29, calls for a three-fold reform of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) which was passed in 1965 and reauthorized as NCLB in 2002.
“All students should have access to a high quality education. This legislation will empower parents to invest more in their child's education and allow parents to choose what school best meets their child's needs,” Lee stated.
Sen. Cruz concurred. “The rich and middle class have had school choice from the beginning of time,” he said. “This fight is about ensuring that every child, regardless of race, ethnicity, or zip code has the same opportunity to choose the school that best fits their needs and will help them achieve their very best.”
According to Senator Lee’s website, the first provision of the bill would allow federal Title I funds to follow low-income students to any public or private school of their choice. In 2015, the federal poverty guideline is $20,090 for a family of three.

Mayor Says Rev. Jamal Bryant Has Been Warned By Her Administration
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake sent a stern warning to those who want to tie traffic to protest.
That warning went to Rev. Jamal Bryant. C4 asked Mayor was asked why Bryant was was not arrested. The mayor answered that a lot of the blockages were police officers trying to prevent people from walking up the ramps during the protest.
That being said, she adds, "My administration has communicated directly with Bryant that, if he engages in behavior that disrupts our city, that he'll answer for that."

Fiorina: Federal Seniority Lets A Man Watch Pornography and Get Same Pay As Woman Working Next to Him
(CNSNews) - "Do you support equal pay for women?" NBC's Andrea Mitchell asked Republican presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina on Wednesday, the same day Hillary Clinton campaigned in South Carolina on a promise of "equal pay."
"Of course I support equal pay for equal work," Fiorina replied. "And that's why in 1963, when a law was passed guaranteeing that if a woman is being discriminated against in the work force purely because of her gender, she should take every advantage of the law.
"But I also know this -- a seniority system, which exists in the federal government, that allows a man to watch pornography all day long in the federal government and earn the same pay, pension, and benefits as a woman sitting next to him trying to do a good job, that is not equal pay for equal work. And the seniority system, and the federal government that promotes that seniority system, and the unions as well, they're not willing to talk about that.
"So before a federal government or Hillary Clinton, who by her own measures is not paying women equally in her own office, nor is President Obama, before they lecture others, maybe they ought to look into their own offices or look into the seniority system in the federal government."

Ann Coulter's War
This week, iconoclastic master Ann Coulter released her new book, "Adios, America!"
The book has already been labeled racist by the mainstream left, which fears her argument, and will undoubtedly be marginalized by the mainstream right, which doesn't want to hear it.
Coulter's thesis is simple: Since Senator Teddy Kennedy, D-Mass., rammed through the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, America's immigration system has transformed from a device for enriching the nation for both native-born and immigrants into a scheme for importing anti-American voters.
What made America America, Coulter argues, was a particular blend of Protestant religion and European civilization that led to the rise of the greatest nation in human history. What will unmake America, she continues, is a deliberate attempt to poison that blend with a flood of immigrants with wildly different values.
Coulter points out that the real number of immigrants currently residing in America illegally far surpasses the 11 million consistently put forth by politicians and media. That 11 million springs from census data, which is notoriously unreliable, given that immigrants here illegally typically don't spend time answering government surveys. The real number, she argues, is far closer to 30 million. And those 30 million immigrants in America illegally drive down wages, shred social safety nets, drive up the crime rate and congeal the American melting pot into a melange of inferior cultural values competing for local dominance.
"The foreign poor are prime Democratic constituents because they're easily demagogued into tribal voting," Coulter points out. "Race loyalty trumps the melting pot. ... The American electorate isn't moving left — it's shrinking. Democrats figured out they'd never win with Americans, so they implemented an evil, genius plan to change this country by restocking it with voters more favorably disposed to left-wing policies than Americans ever would be."

Bruton rule could affect Freddie Gray case
BALTIMORE —Defense lawyers for six Baltimore police officers charged in the Freddie Gray case are trying to move the case out of Baltimore, a request that might also indicate how they try to defend their clients.
One big question moving forward is whether the officers will be tried together or separately. One defense strategy suggests that if the officers agree not to testify against each other, the case will fall apart.
"It is the prosecution that will want a consolidated trial. They want one trial for six people. It is for the convenience of witnesses, it's for the convenience of jurors, it's much less expensive to do it one time," said Doug Colbert, a University of Maryland School of Law professor.
Some legal experts believe that the defense might use a 1968 Supreme Court decision to keep pretrial statements by the defendants from being used in the case.
