Chuck-E-Cheese adult brawls becoming epidemic
The first spark of fisticuffs was captured on film and posted on Facebook by a bystander named Sharon Cabrera.
When questioned about the incident, Cabrera said she believed the fight was initiated by a disagreement over tickets.
In the second spat that afternoon, it was reported that a 51 year-old woman was brutalized to the extent of nearly having her eyes gouged out by her attacker.

Female harp seal found on 127th Street, recuperates
The animal, which appeared exhausted and possibly injured, was crated by volunteers and workers from the National Aquarium and later taken to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine, New Jersey.
According to Robert Schoelkopf, director of the center, the animal was doing fine as of Monday.
Schoelkopf said harp seals, also called ice seals, have been traveling from as far north as Iceland and Greenland since the mid-1980s, when warming trends and melting ice floes occasionally forced them south.

Trump's advisers push him to purge Obama appointees
Advisers to President Donald Trump are urging him to purge the government of former President Barack Obama's political appointees and quickly install more people who are loyal to him, amid a cascade of damaging stories that have put his nascent administration in seemingly constant crisis-control mode.
A number of his advisers believe Obama officials are behind the leaks and are seeking to undermine his presidency, with just the latest example coming from reports that Attorney General Jeff Sessions met twice last year with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. and apparently misled senators about the interactions during his confirmation hearing.
That was coupled with a New York Times story that Obama appointees spread information about the investigation into the Trump campaign's contacts with Russia in an attempt to create a paper trail about the probe. Trump's aides have also blamed Obama appointees for other damaging leaks, like Trump's erratic phone calls with foreign leaders.
Inside the White House, the chatter about Obama officials in the government has heightened in recent weeks, one administration official said. And advisers are saying it is time to take action.
"His playbook should be to get rid of the Obama appointees immediately," said Newt Gingrich, a top surrogate. "There are an amazing number of decisions that are being made by appointees that are totally opposed to Trump and everything he stands for. Who do you think those people are responding to?"

Schumer helped athlete ‘overcome’ Trump’s travel ban — now the athlete is charged with a heinous crime
Schumer, the Senate minority leader, along with Clyde Rabideau, mayor of Saranac Lake, New York, petitioned for Tanveer Hussain and his team manager to be granted entry into the U.S. after they were denied a visa in the immediate days after President Donald Trump signed his controversial executive order on immigration and refugees, according to the Washington Post.
Hussian is from India — not one of the countries included in Trump’s travel ban — so it’s not clear why his visa was initially denied.

Sen. Hatch ‘Shocked’ Obama Team Conducted Surveillance of Trump Campaign, Transition
“I was just a little shocked by it,” said the senator, who is also the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and fourth in the line of succession behind Speaker Paul Ryan (R.-Wis.).

Mexico launches $50 million effort in US to provide legal aid to immigrants who fear deportation
All 50 Mexican consulates in the U.S. on Friday launched legal assistance centers to form partnerships with nonprofit groups and tap lawyers to help those fearing Trump’s policies.
The diplomatic effort comes as the two countries are in a rift over Trump’s plans for a border wall. While Trump says Mexico will pay for it one way or another, Mexico says it won’t. It was also unveiled less than two weeks after new guidelines came out aimed at aggressively detaining and deporting immigrants by increasing the number of federal agents and strengthening cooperation with local law enforcement.

AT&T will bring 3,000 outsourced jobs back to US
The union that represents AT&T workers, the Communications Workers of America, said Thursday that it's reached a tentative agreement with AT&T Southwest -- a regional landline arm of the company -- that includes a commitment to hire American workers to do jobs that were previously done by contractors overseas.
The four-year deal also covers wage hikes, paid parental leave, healthcare and benefits for 20,000 AT&T Southwest workers across five southern states. The exact terms of the deal still need to be approved by a union members vote.
AT&T praised the deal in a statement Thursday. "It maintains one of the most robust health care plans in the nation," the company said. "The agreement also includes two weeks of paid parental leave to help mothers or fathers bond with a newborn or newly adopted child."

Right On Cue, Soros-Financed MoveOn.Org Holds DC Protest Demanding Sessions’ Resignation
Right on cue, the George Soros-financed MoveOn.org progressive activist group on Thursday organized a protest outside the U.S. Department of Justice building calling for the resignation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
The protest was organized fairly quickly. It was held mere hours after reports surfaced that Sessions held two conversations with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. while he was Alabama’s senator and served on the Armed Services Committee. Sessions maintains that the conversations did not concern the 2016 presidential campaign. He served as an informal advisor to Trump during the presidential race.
Mother Jones reported the crowd at the MoveOn.org protest was about 100. ABC’s Local affiliate in Washington, DC reported “hundreds” attended.
Among the speakers was Rep. Sheila Jackson (D-TX), who proclaimed, “False testimony counters any right you have to remain Attorney General of the United States of America.”
The anti-Sessions protest marks the latest attempt by Soros-linked groups to impede Trump administration policies or target top administration officials.
Earlier this week, Breitbart News reported two Soros-financed groups distributed an actual script with anti-Trump talking points for citizens to use when meeting with constituents in town halls, including during last week’s Congressional recess.

2 Men Arrested For Possessing Skimming Device; $6700 in Maryland
BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Carroll County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 39-year-old man and a 26-year-old man during a traffic stop after locating a suspected skimming device, two small baggies of suspected marijuana and more than $6700.
At approximately 4:50 a.m. Saturday, deputies were working in the area of westbound I-70 near exit 68, in Mt. Airy. Deputies observed a Mazda van with a temporary Texas registration plate driving with a headlight out, and conducted a traffic stop.
The driver of the vehicle displayed an expired Florida driver’s license, and was cited for driving without a driver’s license. The name on this license was determined to be an alias which the driver was using to avoid identification due to active warrants out of Texas.

And Kyle has much more authority to speak on the issue than any of the political pundits who have accused Trump of using Carryn Owens, a grieving widow, as a “prop.”
Kyle is the widow of legendary Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. She knows Carryn Owens’ pain all too well.
Responding to filmmaker Michael Moore’s claim that Owens was exploited to give an “f-you to the people who are criticizing Trump,” Kyle said forcefully:
“It makes me sick to my stomach, it makes me angry. Because he is saying two things when he says that to me, that…she’s a fool and doesn’t know she’s being used — and that’s ridiculous. It couldn’t be farther from the truth. It’s also saying that this wasn’t warranted and in some way this always has to be political.”

At Decatur High School, New ‘Lunch My Way’ Café A Big Hit
The normal lunch trays and food the students were accustomed to seeing were replaced with Chinese take-out containers and a plethora of Asian cuisine options. A sign out front proudly displayed the words “Lunch My Way.”
“The biggest thing the kids are really excited about today, or what the buzz is about, is having ‘Lunch My Way,’” said Odtis Collins, coordinator of food services for Worcester County Public Schools. “Students can actually go in and put together their own meal.”
Since the beginning of the school year, Collins said he and cafeteria managers have been working to rebrand school lunches. The goal, he said, was to give students more options.
“One of our biggest goals was to increase the variety of nutritional foods that we offer to our students,” Collins said. “I think we all determined that at the beginning of the year.”

As the legislation that got the wheel turning on Project 25 — a radio interoperability requirement that would allow local, state, federal and other officials to talk to each other in an emergency — was signed by former Gov. Martin O’Malley, Snow Hill and Pocomoke can’t argue they didn’t see it coming.
What the municipalities can and must now do is worry about where the money for the project will come from, as a deadline of September 2017 looms as budget season begins.
Police and emergency radios are expensive — Snow Hill Mayor Charlie Dorman said a single unit can run between $3,000-$4,000 — and the consoles used by dispatchers to communicate with the radios are even more expensive.
“The State of Maryland, State of Delaware, Commonwealth of Virginia and Worcester County are actively transitioning all state government radio system users to the Project 25 standard,” a release provided by Dorman reads. “If the Town does not upgrade their radio infrastructure the Snow Hill Police Department will be unable to communicate with other agencies.”

Ocean City jumps 15 spots to No. 10 on best beach list
“It feels terrific to be named in the top 10 best beaches in the U.S. by Trip Advisor,” said Jessica Waters, communications manager for the Town of Ocean City. “Being the only beach outside of Florida or Hawaii tells us that we are doing something right when it comes to providing our visitors with the type of vacation destination that they are looking for.”
The winners were chosen by millions of travelers over a 12-month period and only Hawaii and Florida had beaches that cracked the top 10 this year.
“The fact that we were ranked based on the feedback from TripAdvisor users is something to be very proud of, both as a municipality, but also for our business community,” Waters said.
Siesta beach in Florida, Ka’anapali beach in Hawaii, St. Pete beach in Florida, Clearwater Beach in Florida and Beach at Panama City in Florida rounded out the top five beaches.
