A firm partially owned by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband was among the lawmaker-linked businesses that got Paycheck Protection Program loans, according to data released Monday.
Companies owned by or associated with Reps. Mike Kelly (R-Pa.), Kevin Hern (R-Okla.), Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) and Rick Allen (R-Ga.) also received the coronavirus loans. Businesses linked to Reps. Roger Williams (R-Texas), Vicky Hartzler (R-Mo.), Susie Lee (D-Nev.) and Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D-Fla.) previously reported they got loans.
Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill said her husband, Paul Pelosi, is “a minor, passive investor in this company. He was not involved in or even aware of this PPP loan.”
Hammill told The Post that Paul Pelosi owns 8.1 percent of EDI Associates, which got a loan of between $350,000 and $1 million. The company invests in the El Dorado Hotel in Sonoma, Calif. Pelosi’s stake is worth between a quarter-million and half-million dollars, according to official disclosure forms.
PPP loans can be converted into grants if companies with up to 500 employees, and in some cases more, spend 60 percent on payroll. In two deals brokered in part by Nancy Pelosi, Congress overwhelmingly approved $670 billion for the program.
Spokespeople for Kelly, whose car dealerships got between $450,000 and $1.05 million, and for Allen, whose construction firm got between $350,000 and $1 million, also said they were uninvolved in seeking loans.

Becuz their insider trading stock market bonanza wasn't enough!
Same reason the lakers got millions while mom and pop restaurants got squat. The math on the bs stimulus doesn’t add up. So much fat and waste in it...same thing with Obama’s stimulus. Doesn’t matter which party you vote for, the 2 party system and politics in general need to be overhauled. I wish we could get an actual answer on how much $$$ it really takes to run the federal govt. when a snow storm shuts down DC, and non-essential workers stay home, somethings wrong when that is over 250k people.
As long as the company is on the up and up, they deserve moneys too. Agreed that it LOOKS bad. Just investigate to make sure funds are being used properly.
Your a lying dog face pony soldier
In politics, rich always get richer!!!!!!!
ALWAYS!
CONgress, its a unique club.
We sure would have more of our own earned dollars if government waste was controlled. Nothing new though, it’s been going on since government.
She has a husband? May God have mercy on him! Can you imagine waking up to see that beside you in the morning!
Dont forget MD gubner as well
It’s how the elites gets richer off of us citizens and it’s all ok with them.
This program was one of the best things Trump has done for businesses suffering - I can assure you that the Democrats would have never allowed this to save small businesses - granted the first round was absolutely horrible, but they fixed fixed the problems and now any business who needs this money should take advantage of it!!!! This program alone saved millions of jobs and millions of companies - it shows that business background that Trump has. If you know of a company or are a business owner - take advantage of this program - they have extended the deadline and the banks are much better prepared to help businesses - also a great shout out to Any Harris - who looked out for small businesses on the Eastern Shore!!!
5:45 sitting back doing nothing. This happened on both sides Republican and Democrats. McConnels wife received a substantial loan. Kanye freakin West received millions despite just reaching billionaire status. We need to root it out on all sides! You should be required to reinvest all YOUR money first before you take OUR money. Stop protecting the ultra rich at our expense.
Democrats are always saying they are for the working poor...
