If someone counted as a confirmed case dies are they then removed from the list of confirmed cases? I mean, if you have 5 confirmed cases and one dies do you now have 4? Or do they count dead patients as active cases?

This is inaccurate and out of date already

I think the first patient has recovered

PRMC announced they released a patient but I am not sure if it is him or the 60 yr old woman

1 patient died, which could have been the 60 yr old woman

March 28, 2020 at 11:47 AM: Why are you confused between confirmed cases, and active cases? They aren't reporting "active" cases. They have no idea of the active cases where people are heeding the guidelines and staying home if they are sick, but not sick enough to require hospital care, as determined by their health care provider. Those cases will never be known or categorized. Active cases are not a category that is being measured. Only confirmed cases, and end results of confirmed cases. Confirmed cases do not go down, and only go up when new cases are confirmed. Deaths and recovered are separate categories. You did notice that on the chart, didn't you? One can be confirmed AND dead, or confirmed AND recovered. It's not that difficult to understand.

So according to this chart there are 774 confirmed cases but no deaths and no recoveries as of 11:32 am this morning. Never trust government statistics.

"recovered" will never be known unless every American is blood tested for antibodies after this thing is over. Useless column and stat that will never be known It is interesting that the deaths that are currently known are not being shown in the chart that is updated daily, yet they show them in the header. It seems they do not want the deaths associated with any particular counties. They are trying to avoid the public panic that would ensue, and the mass exodus fleeing and spreading the disease to other parts of the state, and neighboring states, just like NYC is experiencing now.

Read the header at the top of the chart. Deaths ARE listed. See how easy that is?

To be clear, the deaths are listed in the header for the chart, just not listed by county. Too difficult for you?
