The Democratic Party is telling millions of pro-lifers to get out

Until recently, I spent much of my time working hard to elect Democrats to public office — but the early presidential campaigning pushed me away from the party, as well prompting my resignation from the board of Democrats for Life, where I had served since 2014.

For someone who is progressive on most issues, this decision doesn’t come easy. Like most Democrats, I believe government has an energetic role to play to support women, families and children. I support paid family leave, help with unaffordable child care, labor-union rights, the Affordable Care Act, child and adoption tax credits and much else of the kind.

I’m worried about climate change. I’m an outspoken vegetarian. I believe in welcoming refugees and immigrants. I oppose needless wars.

The more people who leave this party after realizing they've been blindfolded for years, the better. Change has to come from within the party, but putting the squeeze on it by withholding membership numbers and dollars will hasten either its reconsideration of its over the top Liberal (I.e. Globalist) leanings or its perhaps rightly deserved demise.

I reached this same decision in 2016 53 years as a democrat and I voted for Trump. I was a die hard Democrat and then I realized they had lost their way and values. The decisions they focused are were not the right ones, they lost respect for Americans vote, they let our statues and history be changed condemned cops almost 100 percent of the time, did not want our borders protected, and let other countries collect $ from us but not expecting the same for us. We have been passive too long, we have swallowed down too much for far too long.

Glad to hear how you feel about pro-life but you need to seriously think about welcoming immigrants - I do hope you mean legal immigrants. Those that will contribute to society. Family paid leave - I agree with some time off with pay but it appears it is now being abused. How can a busy operate if it's employees are on paid family leave - it drains the business financially and creates peer contempt - especially if it is only family maternity. Unions are a big rip off of it's members - need not say more. Women have never had it better in society - I know because we women of the 60s didn't even come close to what women have achieved today. When was the last time you were on a job interview and was asked if you were pregnant or planned to be soon. Just an example of women in the 60s endored. Joining the Republicans is a good thing. Congratulations 🤔

If you stay home and DON'T vote then it will be a vote for the Democrats that you don't want to support. You should rethink that action.

Now this is refreshing. No name calling or epithets just good debate and rational discussion.

James Carville has it right. The democrat party has succumbed to the radical left. And even he says it is the end of the party's influence. The party used to take great pains to avoid the label of socialism. Now they embrace it.

From the post:

"Like most Democrats, I believe government has an energetic role to play to support women, families and children. I support paid family leave, help with unaffordable child care, labor-union rights, the Affordable Care Act, child and adoption tax credits and much else of the kind."

XXXXXXXX

And all this done with other people's money. Everything is for a select demographic (identity politics). When your democrats start representing the values and issues facing ALL Americans, maybe the downward crash of the party will start to slow. Right now, you continue to sound like a socialist, that every problem requires throwing other people's money at it, and not creating policies that will help solve the issues. Stay with the democrats. You are not "woke" yet.
