Hundreds of innocents face being grabbed in the street by police as Scotland Yard admits new facial recognition system gives false alerts one in every thousand faces - as it introduces cameras to spot criminals in London's busiest public places

The Metropolitan Police today revealed it will start using 'Big Brother' facial recognition technology on the streets of London within the next month after eight major trials since 2016.

Scotland Yard says the cameras are a fantastic 'crime-fighting tool' with a 70 per cent success rate at picking up suspects - but privacy campaigners believe it is a 'breath-taking assault on rights'.

Detectives will draw up a watchlist of up to 2,500 people suspected of the most serious crimes including murders, gun and knife crime, drug dealing and child abuse.

1:30...You are asking the cheerleaders, right???

They are so wrapped up in their own self-righteous and pious perfection, they have no clue about the future they are hoisting on everyone else....
They think THEY get to decide what is right and wrong. When they find out something they did is considered "wrong" by the ones holding the power and now they must be punished, well, the crying and whining will come a little too late...
Keep cheering.
