Drug Investigation Leads to Arrest of Laurel Man- Laurel

Laurel- The Delaware State Police have arrested 31-year-old Rickey A. Hawkins Jr. in connection with the distribution of illegal drugs.
On August 29, 2019, at approximately 9:24 a.m., members of the Sussex Drug Unit (SDU) concluded a one month drug investigation into the matter of Rickey A. Hawkins Jr. With the assistance of Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team (SORT) and members of Troop 5,  a search and seizure warrant was executed at Hawkins’ residence located in the 28000 block of Seaford Road, Laurel.  It was learned that Hawkins was staying at the Motel 6 in Seaford, DE, where he was taken into custody without incident.
The search warrant was executed at the residence where drugs, drug paraphernalia and suspected drug proceeds were located in multiple locations throughout the residence, including the following:
  • Approximately 2.17 grams of crack cocaine
  • Approximately 16.88 grams of cocaine
  • Approximately 3.82 grams of methamphetamine
  • Approximately .854 grams of heroin (122 bags)
  • Approximately 74.79 grams of marijuana
  • Approximately 11.2 grams of THC wax
  • Over $20,000 in suspected drug proceeds
  • Drug Paraphernalia
Hawkins was transported back to Troop 5 where he was charged with the following:
  • Possession With Intent To Deliver a Controlled Substance in a Tier 2 Quantity
  • Possession With Intent To Deliver a Controlled Substance ( 4 counts)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Hawkins was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on $31,000.00 unsecured bond.

Drug dealers should be executed in my opinion. Make it a pay per view event.

he will get off with very little time served. A deal has already been struck, What makes me say this? he is out. If he was that much of threat he would not be out walking the streets and gotten a higher bond amount.
