My concern is car A having to wait fifteen minutes to a half hour during rush hour.
This will be the cause of accidents!

They forgot to show car E. Some redneck in an overcompensating truck doing whatever he wants because "murica"

“A” will also be the car that thinks they have right if way because of entitlement issues

And this little piggy cried wee wee wee all the way home. Some idiots have to have clear directions like lights, and signs, or they are completely lost.

Where are all the bicycles? Oh that's right there aren't any.

Need D to push C into non-traffic.

Throw some cyclists, delivery trucks, utility trucks and pedestrians in the mix.

Disaster in the making!

Why screw up what is working

Im sure the circle will be filled w D’s

There has to be a kickback somewhere. This location is asinine for a circle. They will end up putting traffic lights restricting flow in the circle when it’s all said and done. Create a perceived problem( accidents and deaths on Mills St.), get a reaction, then offer the solution.

After seeing the Waverly Rd project. I suggest parking a police car in the middle of the circle with an officer supervising traffic for the first week. Whoever did the traffic study probably never stayed through shift change at Perdue or rush hour.

Always fixing something that ain't broke. But, fix potholes?? No way in hell that happens.

Approaching that intersection from all directions you now 2 lanes. Now you will have to narrow them all down to 1 lane when approaching the circle. Now through a traffic light 100ft away and cars will be gridlocked in all directions.

STFU .

with the lights the circle will just jam up from people pulling into it. chaos!

If they (MTA) would properly time the lights, most issues would be solved. The fairly-new green arrow for traffic coming from the North side of Mill St., crossing 50 is great, but have it go second instead of first. Traffic on south side of the equation is stopped that just made it through the first light, second one if you're lucky. Then people block the intersection(s), so when the light changes in favor of the Main St. side, no one can move.

With all the bicycles in town now. You have to include a Jake boy bike lane in the circle.

Pedestrian crossings?

Where will panhandlers be able to situate?

The diagram shown doesn't have the multi lane complications of the frownabout proposed by Joke.

How about the ladder truck when the fahrmen are in search of food; how will it fit the inner circumference?

You sound like a Progressive/Socialist Homo. Jake Burdett? Jared Schablein? Dan O'Hare? Jake Day? Josh Hastings? Alex Scott? John Wright? Michele Gregory? Jamaad Gould?

How are the Farmin going to find lunch in their big Far trucks. They will get stuck in the circle for 2 hours.

Anonymous said...

Don’t see the bike lanes or the armidillos

They are putting them in around here but out in more rural areas. They work pretty well but some people stop and stare like a UFO just landed. I haven't seen anyone turn left yet, never mind late at night I did. Too lazy to go around 3/4s of the way.

sit and watch the traffic circle in Fruitland. Most enter the circle without yielding a right of way when they should be. They just go and everyone else be damned. only 1 out of 10 know how a traffic circle is supposed to be navigated

Simply use some thought and look before rushing into the circle.....it ain’t that big of a deal people! Show some brains don’t act like dumbasses!

Anonymous said...

That definitely is a triphling mess and waste of money

Jake lover use your brain and think logically for a second about that intersection when no one has to wait for one minute and 30 seconds to enter the circle. The circle will be jammed creating gridlock in every direction entering the circle until the lights change on Mills St and Rt 50. You need to change one way direction on main st. And restrict left turns on to West Main/ Fitzwater during peak hours if it has any slim chance of working

All the naysayers and naive people that will actually use the new traffic circle will see why all the engineers decided it is the safest and the most effective solution to a poorly designed intersection. As it is currently, it is always backing up traffic and creating accidents. Traffic circles are proven remedies for intersections like this one. And everyone will shut up when they see how well it works. Then again, who knows? Some people never learn.
