Two mass shootings have rocked the United States in less than 24 hours, leaving dozens dead and many more wounded. The first in El Paso, Texas was allegedly perpetrated by a white supremacist whose racist motives are outlined in a rambling “manifesto”, the second allegedly by a self-described “leftist” whose motives, like the 2017 Las Vegas shooter, are presently unknown. These incidents occurred a week after another mass shooting in Gilroy, California.
All the usual US gun control debates have of course reignited, which is understandable. Alongside this debate, however, we are seeing another, far more pernicious agenda being raised that I would like to address here.
In an interview with MSNBC’s Joy Reid, notorious liar and propagandist Malcolm Nance claimed that existing laws aren’t sufficient for prosecuting the El Paso shooter, because there are no laws designating his act of mass murder as “domestic terrorism”.

We lost a lot of freedom with the patriot act after 9/11.
I find it interesting that these shootings occurred just before the Supreme court votes on 2nd Amendment

We are at war folks....its a matter of time before things become worse
When you take our guns, only criminals will have guns and people will STILL continue to die, law abiding citizens should not be punished because criminals DONT follow the law. We have EVERY right to bear arms and protect ourselves and our families from those who wish to harm us.
New anti-terrorist laws will likely be used against Americans under a Democratic/Socialist President. Another move to a dictatorship.
Go to Brazil and Thailand for a few years and learn how to fight like I did.

Chicago is well over 300 homicides and Baltimore just broke the 200 mark for the calendar year...yet this doesn't fit the liberal media narrative does it.
We have an abundance of laws; more are not needed.
We need more civil discourse, and we need to work strenuously to identify those with emotional problems and to aid them in ways that don't shame them and make them avoid the assistance. Need to find ways to dissipate the negative energy they carry. The tenor of movies, music, video and social media in recent decades has been unhelpful; big corporations seek out and promote ever lower common denominators in these areas.
Humans have always been contentious and scrappy; aided our survival as a species. Guns, knives, rocks, bare hands. Happy people don't need to injure others.

Does anyone really think a mass shooter has any concern about the label of or severity of the law they broke. I'm sure most assume they are going to die and if not the death penalty. Those two are the worse that can happen and is to be expected. No new law or classification necessary.
