Manager no longer working at jewelry store after preventing deputy from picking up engagement ring

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — A manager is no longer working at Kay Jeweler's in Statesville after denying a uniformed deputy entrance to the store because of his gun.

The company made the announcement Thursday on Twitter, adding, "We are reinforcing store training regarding all of our Customer First policies, as well as specific policies related to law enforcement, in all of our stores."

The Iredell County Sheriff's Office posted about the incident on Facebook Wednesday, saying the man went into Kay Jewelers on Turnersburg Highway after being notified his engagement ring was ready.

Somebody needs a couple of nice wedding bands thrown in with that engagement ring, courtesy of Kay's.

Another anti-gun advocate too stupid to realize he was a Law Enforcement officer. However if the place was being robbed, that is the first person they would want to see with his gun drawn. Idiot!!!

Not only was the manager ignorant, they may have ruined a surprising & exciting moment for the couple. Not good, being this is likely the bulk of their business!
