Republican voters are overwhelmingly supportive of President Donald Trump’s economic nationalist agenda that defends American workers and U.S. manufacturers by imposing tariffs on billions of dollars worth of Chinese imports.
The latest Harvard/Harris Poll reveals the growing shift of Republican voters and conservatives back to the Republican Party’s origins as the party of economic nationalism and away from the donor class’ preferred free trade absolutism.
Nearly eight-in-ten Republican voters say they support the recent decision by Trump to increase tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese imports from ten percent to 25 percent. Close to 85 percent of Trump supporters, as well as 76 percent of self-identified “conservative” voters, said they support the hike in tariffs on Chinese imports.

A question for those liberals / Democrats against tariffs, what is the difference between tariffs and minimum wage excluding job lose in the minimum wage? Products will cost more because of tariffs and products will cost more with a minimum wage. Tariffs should return jobs to the US while minimum wage will raise product cost and lose of jobs forcing more work productivity from workers.
What's wrong with helping American workers prosper and make a living wage. You are so selfish 1:03
