Stacey Abrams has shot down rumors that she may join Joe Biden’s ticket as his running mate, with an adviser telling BuzzFeed News Thursday that the former vice president’s offer was “exploitative.”
"What makes it particularly exploitative is that Biden couldn’t be bothered to endorse Stacey in the gubernatorial primary," the adviser said. "Now he wants her to save his ass. That’s some serious entitlement."
Advisers to Biden floated the idea of choosing Abrams to Axios last week, since the popular Georgia Democrat would bring diversity and excitement to the ticket.
Abrams on Wednesday rejected the rumors during an appearance on “The View.”
