The father of 2020 Democratic presidential contender Kamala Harris, Jamaican Professor Donald Harris, has issued a sharp rebuke after his daughter casually stereotyped Jamaicans in an effort to look cool on a radio show.
When asked on New York City's hip-hop radio show "The Breakfast Club" if she opposes legalizing marijuana, Harris replied:
"That's not true," adding "and look, I joke about it - half-joking, half of my family's from Jamaica. Are you kidding me?"
Responding to his daughter's shameless pandering, Donald Harris said in a statment to Jamaica Global Online:
“My dear departed grandmothers (whose extraordinary legacy I described in a recent essay on this website), as well as my deceased parents, must be turning in their grave right now to see their family’s name, reputation and proud Jamaican identity being connected, in any way, jokingly or not with the fraudulent stereotype of a pot-smoking joy seeker and in the pursuit of identity politics. Speaking for myself and my immediate Jamaican family, we wish to categorically dissociate ourselves from this travesty.” -Jamaica Global Online

So many of the spotlighted Dems seem witless.
Kamala Harris all things to all people, which is why she will end up the Democrats presidential candidate and will ultimately be elected in 2020. Mostly because most citizens will sit on their butts and not get out to vote. Just like last year when we let the Dems retake the House of Representatives.

The new rule for America is "Never state the obvious." Someone will try to use it against you, and say they were "offended." Personally, I believe the first amendment to our constitution gives me the RIGHT to offend anyone I want to offend, and even the ones I didn't intend to offend, BY STATING THE OBVIOUS. Not pointing out the obvious doesn't make any issue go away. The first amendment is the most important one of all. Our forefathers realized that silencing the people would lead to an illegitimate government that would not represent the people. Silence dissent and government can get away with anything. We're getting close, folks.
