Son of a veteran walks 105 miles to support military service members

Victor Wise, son of a retired U.S. Army first sergeant and Operation Enduring Freedom veteran, will walk 105 miles to honor and support our servicemen and women.

The “Freedom Ruck” will begin at the Virginia War Memorial in downtown Richmond and finish at Arlington National Cemetery.

This is the sixth year Wise has taken this journey. Last year, he said, “The goal of the Freedom Ruck is to simply say thank you.”

Wise hopes to inspire patriotism and support for servicemen and women.

How about you join the military instead of just walking? Walking is no big deal. Children do it every day.
