Self Checkout lanes don’t cost an employer $15.00 an hour, so if you’re losing your job to a Self-Checkout, thank a Democrat!

With the support of 181 co-sponsors, congressional Democrats introduced legislation Wednesday to gradually increase the federal minimum wage to $15 by 2024.

Unveiled by Rep. Bobby Scott, D-Va., chairman of the Committee on Education and Labor, and colleagues, the Raise the Wage Act aims to increase the paychecks of some 40 million minimum-wage workers by giving them yearly raises until they reach $15 an hour, at which point they would continue to rise with the median wage.

What people do not understand is, if a business can't make a profit, they go out of business, and lots of people won't consider starting a business. By the way"polosi wouldn't understand what "deplorables' go through. She was born with silver and gold spoons in her mouth. To bad she didn't choke on them.

From the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics:

"In 2015, 78.2 million workers age 16 and older in the United States were paid at hourly rates, representing 58.5 percent of all wage and salary workers. Among those paid by the hour, 870,000 workers earned exactly the prevailing federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. About 1.7 million had wages below the federal minimum. Together, these 2.6 million workers with wages at or below the federal minimum made up 3.3 percent of all hourly paid workers."

Where did the UPI get the 40 million minimum wage workers statistic in the article. This is a classic example of both the Press and Politicians lying to us and they wonder why we don't believe anything they say.

12:24 you will be when you lose your job and youre back at square one because everything will go up based around the overhead of a business or rental management company. They pay more...you will pay more....They will reflect those costs off to the consumer. So then your crying will begin when you realize you didnt get any where except broke and or unemployed. The only winner...the IRS...they will be taking in more from the 15.00 vs the current rate of 9-10 of those that will be still working. The losers will be people that have student loans and went to college and or trade schools. Many barely making the 15.00 many have been on their jobs 10-15 years and will be back at minimum wage after all these years of trying to work their way up. No business will give a offset of those wages. They cant afford to, when looking at what they pay including other benefits. NOBODY will pay 15.00 for a McDonalds burger that some of you dont even have the sense to make right to start with. This is a bad bad move! Mark my words. This is not a good move and sit back and watch what happens. To the economy and the unemployments rates.
