CNN Chief Admits: Without Trump, Our Ratings Collapse

"So we know that, right now, Donald Trump dominates."

No Trump, no ratings. That's the reality of CNN's situation in the Trump era, CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker begrudgingly admits.

In an interview with Vanity Fair that offers a glimpse "inside the Trump gold rush at CNN," Zucker acknowledged some things that he'd probably rather not be the case: The network is indeed obsessed with Trump — because it has to be.

"People say all the time, 'Oh, I don't want to talk about Trump. I've had too much Trump,'" Zucker told Vanity Fair's Joe Pompeo. "And yet at the end of the day, all they want to do is talk about Trump. We've seen that, anytime you break away from the Trump story and cover other events in this era, the audience goes away. So we know that, right now, Donald Trump dominates."

900,000 is a very high-end estimate.
They have destroyed their reputation as a news organization.
The proof?

They have to run ads on other TV stations trying to convince people they are really telling the truth. Have you EVER seen a "news" organization that needed to do that???
Their news is as about as reliable as the words of a five year old caught in the cookie jar.
They run a retraction at 2:15 am...."We are sorry we reported that Trump was the son of Satan. We just discovered our source was a unmaned gnome from the underworld and we have discontinued using his information. We have also suspended the reporter for 12 hours as a punishment." More on Trump later.
That they still have any viewers at at is totally amazing.
Democrats, keep cheering.
Republicans? Prepare for war.

The same goes for the three network late night talk shows.
