Coast Guard, first responders search for missing child near Annapolis, MD

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Coast Guard and partner agencies are searching for a 12-year old girl who was reported missing while swimming at Sandy Point State Park, Maryland, Tuesday.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Maryland-National Capital Region received a notification at approximately 6:40 p.m. from Anne Arundel County 911 that the child, who was last seen wearing a black and pink bathing suit, had reportedly gone under the water and did not resurface.

Coast Guard Sector Maryland-National Capital Region command center launched a 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew from Station Annapolis.

Also searching is Maryland State Police, Maryland Natural Resource Police Marine Unit, Annapolis Fire Department, Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

10:24 AM you are the most disrepectful idiot that I have ever seen. I pray that nothing happens to your children so that they become "shark food." Maybe the next time you take a dip in the ocean you will become shark food.
