WBOC Gets It All Wrong Again

Even though WBOC was delivered a press release explaining the details of Monica Snee's conviction, (plea deal) they are completely misleading their viewers.

WBOC is giving the impression that she will serve TWENTY YEARS. They went on to say the cash in her accounts would be given to the "city". No, it's the County.

Nevertheless, FIFTEEN years was removed from her conviction out of the twenty year sentence. She will serve a mere FIVE years and viewers are outraged. A white woman gets next to nothing for dealing drugs at school while most others of all races and genders would more then likely have to serve the full 20 years.

Many seem to be upset with the States Attorneys Office as well as the Judge who passed this sentence. I'm sure Police Officers are thinking, why the hell should I do my job if criminals are going to walk away with a smack on the wrist.

WBOC viewers should know the TRUTH and not be fed more FAKE NEWS. By the way, her trial was supposed to be TODAY, so this was a plea deal.

News, weather, sports - they cannot get anything right!

Interesting given they have two network affiliates:
CBS (the left)
FOX (the right)

With all the overdoses from those drugs and she gets 5 years of which with good behavior she will only probably do 1/3 of that time! That is bulls$$$$! A trusted position in the community at that, with our children. Remember "it's for the children"...what a load of sh$$!

Not to be in her defense, but it was Not Proven she was dealing drugs at the school, or the sentencing would have been a stiffer sentence. There are guidelines on sentencing, She has never been arrested before, She was not caught actually dealing, and not caught dealing in a school zone. It sucks, she should get more time, but that is our Justice system.

But it was a Drug Free School Zone, which allows for enhanced sentencing. When those amounts of illegal drugs are found in a person's possession, the law calls for a presumption that they are going to be sold. Having a large amount of cash in one's possession at the time the drugs are found adds to the weight.

Thank the Justice Reinvestment Act for new sentencing guidelines--piece of garbage legislation!

Not defending her in any manner.

Believe she was arrested leaving work but not actually charged with selling at the school or to students or staff. Her customers were elsewhere.

PR release said 20 years with all but 5 suspended, to be followed by 5 years probation. Don't know likelihood of early release, but apparently the remaining 15 years hang over her head if she screws up later. The PR release suggested she was actually sentenced to more than the guidelines.

She was caught with drugs and cash but no weapons, convicted, and will be a guest of the state for the next few years. Good job cops and prosecutors. On to the next case.

Think it is time for the city and county to just become one. Duncan doesn’t want her people to do drug work in the city and asked the county to do it for them. As you see here. Nobody wants to work for the city even though they get paid more than anyone else around. She has destroyed a place that could be amazing to work for. It’s time for day to save money and just get out of police work before crime gets any worse.

919, and on a 5 year sentence, she'll be out in 15 months, without need for a parole hearing.

I’m just guessing here but she probably gave up a few names.

Outraged !!!! Disgusted !!!!
And Ms Snee was a role model to our children in school !?!? I am beyond angry and sickened by this ! So 5 years is really showing the bad guys that drug arrests are major, wow ! Great disgusting outcome by our so called legal system !! I don't give a damn if she had been arrested at any time in the past, she was a teacher for lord sake and in the Special Ed dept at that ! I wonder if she was Africa American if the sentencing would have been different ?? She SHOULD be in jail for many many YEARS ! Livid !!!

Ok guys here it is.. this drug dealer was arrested for shop lifting in Howard county in 2011. Yes they did see her sell drugs on school property. Stopped her in a school zone with drugs in her car.. she made up lies to put a man in prison.. has been selling drugs for more then 10 years. Told on a few drug dealers. Oh and she worked for the court system before she before a teacher.. she got 20 yrs all but 5 was suspended and she will do 2 or less before she gets out. The state attorneys office took care of their girl.. when you go vote just remember they let a drug dealer that was selling drugs near our kids.. and no one seems to care.. The good old boy network

and if she screws up on the 5-year probation she will be sent right back to prison. Once they get their hooks in you they hold it over your head forever. Have to justify their jobs I guess.

I think it sucks too but blaming the lawyers or the judges isn't fair. They have rules to follow too. The sentencing guideline calls for 1-3 years active sentence. The judge gave her 5 years active. This is justified by the fact that she has been arrested before (not for the same thing) and her position working with children. I agree, the sentences should be longer but that means we need to change legislation. Don't blame the officers of the court for doing their jobs. Getting a sentence longer than the guidelines is a WIN! Now we need to look at how we change some of those guidelines to increase jail time for these types of offenses.

Oh yeah. Let's bring race into it. A lot of blacks do not go to jail because so many blacks complain there are too many of them in there. Don't commit the crime and you will not serve the time.

Thank the Liberal prosecutor and judge.
