Trump looking into revoking security clearances for Brennan, other top Obama officials

President Trump is looking into revoking the security clearances of several top Obama-era intelligence and law enforcement officials, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Monday.

During the daily press briefing, Sanders told reporters that the president was considering taking away clearances for former FBI Director James Comey, former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, former CIA Director John Brennan, former National Security Adviser Susan Rice and former Director of National Security Michael Hayden (who worked under President George W. Bush).

Long overdue.

They should just do it - don't threaten...we don't need to hear his reasons why! As far as I am concerned, they are all swamp creatures and part of the underground government fighting the current administration as much as they can!

Why wasn't it done as soon as they were no longer employed. When I retired, all my access was terminated to any sensitive systems, and when I went back to work in the same field, I had to be re-certified.

Sounds good! They weaponized our intelligence agencies and information against the presidential candidate. In addition to creating false information.

I sure don't know where some people obtain their information about clearances. You obtain a clearance to work on classified projects. Stop working on those projects, you get debriefed. Go back to work on a new project, you get briefed again. There is no such things as keeping a clearance for an individual's convenience. Brennan WAS working at CIA and he held a clearance at that time. Now, he works for a media outlet. Does anyone actually believe he should retain his clearance for the benefit of the media outlet? If you do, you've had too much medical weed.

I held a clearance for nearly 50 years but I was actively working within the intelligence community the whole time.

I agree once your job is terminated your clerance is no longer valid. They NO LONGER HAVE A NEED TO KNOW!!! What the hell is going on here? These are criminal acts.
