HUD to ban smoking in all public housing starting July 31

WASHINGTON, DC — Smoking will no longer be allowed inside public housing nationwide starting on July 31.

The ban from the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) department was announced back in November 2016 but gave Public Housing Agencies until July 31, 2018 to comply.

HUD explained that the smoke-free rule will reduce damage and maintenance costs tied to smoking, cutback on secondhand smoke and lower the risk of accidental fires.

As part of the policy, no smoking will be allowed inside any public housing buildings or within 25 feet of those buildings. Each housing agency can also create additional smoke-free areas if they choose.

According to HUD, at least 600 of its more than 3,100 Public Housing Agencies across the country already had smoke-free policies in place when the rule was announced in 2016.

Now, how will this ban be enforced?? NOT...

They'll have those funky, smelly smoking areas outside the buildings where a million butts will be scattered on the ground.

There are plenty of ways to get your THC without smoking weed. I put no smoking clauses in all my leases. It is MY property, not the tenants. Don't like, rent somewhere else.

Wake up fools. They use baby steps. Technology today supports and pretty dam well replicates the horrors of 1984. Is it on our horizon? It will be and allot quicker if people keep supporting this crap!! infringement of freedom and rights of a fully legal product. I can support fines for the cost of cleanup, but an outright ban is libtarded fooliness. They chip dogs, cars, phones, kids for GPS locations! Countries,Highways, cities, homes, washer machine, refrigertors hey is that bootleg milk in your fridge. Your Busted. All these systems wired networked and watching us recognizing and tracking our thoughts, money, shopping, bad habbits, faces and license plates. TVs can see us, we have audio listening devices hanging on our every word. And Foolisly welcomed into our homes. So whats to stop them from enforcing anything they want by using alexa or the New TV the EBT or your credit card just bought. When they can can turn your car off for unpaid road tax. Foreheads marks appear pretty feasible to me! so a Cashless society scares the crap out of me..so yes I am against any form a jackboot tactics. Regardless of whom the class of people thats affected. the little voice says.TODAY its this one common sense good thing for the kids! But whats gonna be the dictate tommorrow? who will be the next target?
Eventually they will find something that you love and desire but have no say if its good or bad. They will tell you! That Something you need, love, read, or think will be a crime. They probably already know everything about all of us who use tecnology today. So thats not a big leap. Amazon, Facebook or Goggle it i dare you. I guess Some just like jackboots in the face forever or yearn for it to be true.
