Houston man shoots would-be intruder to protect wife

Police say a Houston man shot one of two would-be home intruders who grabbed his wife's purse in the driveway of their home and was trying to force her inside.

Police Lt. Larry Crowson said the man heard a commotion going on outside and then heard his wife screaming.

He grabbed his gun as the men were holding the woman at gunpoint and witnessed her being attack right outside the front door to their home in southeast Houston on Tuesday night.

The husband confronted the intruders outside as they tried to push and drag his wife into the house.

There was an exchange of gunfire and one of the suspects was shot in the head.

The man is now in serious condition in hospital and has been taken into surgery. Authorities say the suspect is 22-years-old.

I feel bad for the husband and wife because they now have to go through all the legal bs, scrutiny for the death and getting his firearm back from the police for the investigation. However this is a good reason as of why being able to be responsible for your own safety by owning a gun and using it is so important to have and protect the 2nd amendment.... What do you think the outcome would be if he wasn't armed? How fast could the police get there after the couple were killed robbed and God knows what else.

Follow the police policy--- NEVER, EVER, NEVER shoot anyone who can testify later.
If one has to shoot, shoot to kill.
Then there is only ONE story, no matter how crazy it seems. It the story YOU tell.
THAT, plus Jury Nullification, gives "we, the people" the power they have always had....
Carry a gun.
Keep a few around the house, loaded and ready.
WHOMEVER tries to take it, empty it on them. Grab the next one and be ready to empty it again.
Cheer that.

Dang, why did he do that? I guarantee he will be regretting that in 10 years or less.
