The Ballad of Roy Moore

Ironically, the pro-morality candidate in Alabama lost because so many voters there still care about morality.

Roy Moore’s loss in Alabama on Tuesday stems from the allegations of misconduct against him by several women when they were teen-agers. But the problem really came down to one accuser: Leigh Corfman. Her lurid story (albeit from 38 years ago), specific details, corroborators, and presentation were hard to dismiss and hard to shake, despite Moore’s denials.

The result is a liberal Democrat who is an extremist supporter of abortion will be pro-life Alabama’s next U.S. senator.

But while it’s a victory for the Democrats, it’s also a victory for establishment Republicans, who were against Moore long before The Washington Post struck.

Judge Moore is an embarrassment to establishment Republicans largely because he believes in the principles they claim to stand for and he has been willing to fight for them. Washington Republicans who want no major changes in the way things are done are probably quietly celebrating.

The die is cast. This is the new play book: make allegations that do not have to be proven, have wealthy donors bring in millions and the winner will be bought and paid for and will owe his/her allegiance to the new order.
Notice that not one of the accusations against Roy Moore was ever proven. In the end it does not matter whether this candidate was guilty or not, the people of Alabama will get who they deserve.

Sharia law is wrong no matter what religion it is. Muslin, Christian, Jewish, always bad news. He wanted to turn the country into a Christian Sharia law.

What is sad is the dumb a$$ so called Republicans didn't come out in droves to support him or vote for him. Why didn't so called Christians come out and support him or vote for him. There are enough Republican voters that stayed home as in many elections and it could have been a game changer for this country. Now we will have to see what happens in 2018. My guess is the Democrats will take the House and or the Senate or both and we will have 4 more years of Obama politics. You lazy Americans make me sick!
