The city's Public Health and Human Services Committee passed a bill Monday enabling Philadelphia's Department of Licenses and Inspections to regulate the bullet-resistant barricades that stand between customers and cash registers in many neighborhood corner stores, according to FOX29.
“No establishment required to obtain a Large Establishment license … shall erect or maintain a physical barrier that requires the persons serving the food either to open a window or other aperture or to pass the food through a window or other aperture, in order to hand the food to a customer inside the establishment,” the bill states. It also calls for larger establishments to have bathrooms for customers.
Several of the hundreds of deli owners told FOX29 they feel as though they are being singled out, and numerous shopkeepers are among those protesting the bill.

Kinda sounds like md's legislature and how they want citizens to be helpless victims against their friends the criminals.
This has to be one of the dumbest ideas I’ve ever heard of. The people supporting this law should be required to work one week in all the businesses effected by it. I’ll bet their tune would change quick. The bulletproof glass isn’t there for aesthetics!!
Ths shop owners sure as hell wouldn't go to all the expense of bullet proof glass if they didn't think it was necessary.
Yeah becasue bulletproof glass which saves lives is the route cause for everyone peeing on the sidewalk or corner of the buildings... The bullet proof glass must be the cause of peoples stupidity as well, for why they can't get an A in science class right???
Why don't they just require all employees of these businesses to wear a bullseye on their chest as well. (Sic) These liberal politicians get dumber by the minute!
Idiots!
