I think it is sad that these millionare atheletes don't have the sense enough to understand that the flag is a symbol of our country! It is not a vehicle to discover protest speeches or political agenda's. How many of these sports figures ever served or defended this flag in the Armed Forces. That flag represents the blood and tears of generations of patriotic Americans who swore allegiance to this country and flag. Have whatever opinion you want on any issue, but leave the national anthem and our flag out of your protests; it is uncalled for and out of place. People who watch these atheletes should protest their stance and disrespect, and stop attending games. As a veteran I am insulted and mad out this outrageous behavior, it serves no purpose. Have your free speech but not at the expense of our country's flag, what a bunch of spoiled, arrogant, elitest, snobs, with no real understanding of heritage, patriotism, and loyalty to the flag. I am ashamed of ALL who disrespect our flag and anthem. LEAVE THIS COUNTRY, you know the one who protects and have fought for your rights.
Kneeling is divisive and disrespectful not Trump. Opinions are valued as long as you agree with the Marxists.

I USED to really like football.

Trump really mucked up this situation. He could have handled it far, far better. He needs to stop verbalizing the first emotion/thought that comes to him. A few minutes of thought and consultation with his advisors and close family members would have and should have resulted in a less confrontational and more intelligent response. He really blew this opportunity to be leader with his instantaneous, heat of the moment hot headed response.
NFL has no specific rule stating they have to stand for the anthem, although the NBA does have such a rule. But in a players contract that I researched last night, there is a clause that states players have to conduct themselves in such a manner NOT to make the league or team look bad to the public.
So these players COULD be fired is the powers that be should choose to.
Just think were most of these idiots would be without the NFL.
