In San Antonio, which removed its lone confederate monument last month from Travis Park, city officials found out Monday in a memo it cost $258,680 to take down that statue.
The memo, obtained by Fox San Antonio, showed it cost $147,775 for a third-party company to remove and transport the monument, $103,809 for police staffing, including officer overtime, fencing, barricades, and surveillance cameras. There was an additional charge of about $7,000 to cover replanting costs.

5:27 going to be real soon, the Big Cedar Creek event in Middletown, VA. has received bomb threats, threats of poising the water, and actually shooting the reenactors at the battles to cover up real gunfire.
$7000 for replanting?! Seriously!? No wonder our governments are bankrupting the country.
And money that didn't need to be spent in the first place. WTF?
Rumor is a couple of live grenades were found on the battlefield this morning at Cedar Creek. Wired to go off if trip wire pulled. NPS found them, and has FBI looking into it.
My advice: Don't spend any money. Leave the statues alone. You want taxpayers to spring for your whim? Get another job. You probably will.
