Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said Monday that Senate Republicans should not expect Senate Democrats to let the Senate run as usual in light of the secretive GOP talks to repeal and replace Obamacare.
"If Republicans won't relent and debate their healthcare bill in the open for the American people to see, they shouldn't expect business as usual in the Senate," Schumer said.
"This radical departure from normal procedure on a bill of such consequence leaves the Senate minority with little choice but to depart from normal procedure as well," Schumer said.

we have to sign it before we know whats in it
The sad thing is from what I've heard, it will end up hurting veterans benefits. It'd be nice if we could see what the hell was in it
What a hypocrite!!
Really bad strategy by the Republicans. They're giving the mid terms to the Dumbocrats.
In other words, Don't you dare act like Democrats.
Could you give examples of how it will hurt veterans benefits?
Durbin needs to read it before he can know what's in it. Problem is that he's too stupid to know how to read.
Didn't Pelosi say you'll find out what's in it after Obamacare passes?
Hypocrites!
Just a continuance of Harry Reid the party of no, screw the working people..
I wish the govt would just get out of the healthcare business. We all see what kind of job they do no matter what the problem. The private sector can do a far better job at anything. I feel for President Trump coming from a business background where people get things done to this insane asylum of politicians and career govt lawyers in Washington that just leach off of the tax payer.
Schumer.....if this isn't the pot calling the kettle black.
I agree with 426.
It will be business as usual.
Secret government working on plans to benefit corporate donors.
The politicians need the same care they give us.
Politicians take care of who gives money that's it.
If the Republicans have enough to have a quorum, over 50%, then they can conduct business. The republicans tried to participate in Obamacare, ACA, but the DemocRATs blocked them at every turn. The DemocRATs, according to Schumer, has withdrawn from participating. So how can you blame the Republicans?
Noble, Thank you. As soon as they hand it back to the free market and abolish whatever 20,000 government administrative jobs trying to "run" healthcare, it will again become affordable.
But Big Pharma owns both parties, so that's just not going to happen.
It will take many villages to take this back over, and it will not be pretty.
It seems to me that Obama care was written behind closed doors by the Democrats. The Republicans had no idea what was in it. Also they passed Obama care against the will of the people and it got no Republican votes. So you see it was okay for the Democrats to do the same thing with Obama care. But now they are up in arms over the Republicans doing it. It seems to me that the Democrats have said they didn't care about the Republican health care bill. Because no matter how good for the country or not they would be voting against it. So if they have no interest in a Republican health care bill passing why should they be included.
