As part of the ongoing effort to rein in some of the behavior associated with the vehicle-related special events in the resort, the Mayor and Council passed an ordinance regarding trailer and oversized vehicle parking on city streets. After considerable debate, the final product included ban on all trailer and oversized vehicle parking on Baltimore Avenue and a registration policy for trailer parking on all other streets in the resort.
The ordinance allows only those participants registered with the special events to acquire a sticker permitting them to park on certain side streets throughout the resort. Unregistered participants were directed instead to the Park-and-Ride in West Ocean City or certain private parking lots with the permission of the owner.

Again - YOU (City Hall) have had a YEAR to figure this out. Cars/trucks/motorcycle communities have been and ARE your cash cow offseason revenue generator. Why? Those folks are OLDER adults with overflowing wallets...but I understand there are other priorities...smoking, downtown parking increases, building your own Coastal Highway wall from Route 90 bridge south, new trams at $2M - $4M (ha ha), pretty painted trash cans, fireworks expenses, hotel tax increases due to empty hotel rooms midweek, constantly building out the convention center, etc ad nauseum. GEEZ.

Easy enough just don't attend any of them in the future.
What's the big deal. They park all around my place and it's only for a weekend. So what. They bring tons of money into the city.

How hard is it nowadays to sell barcodes online to tape in a window or mail stickers while registering folks online? Aren't we past the stand in line and sign with a ballpoint pen?
