Pay It Forward

Sweet Corn, Green Beans and Peas will end up on the dinner table for people down on their luck. This Holiday Season let's Pay It Forward to the Maryland Food Bank. Why, because we're all good people who never forgot where we came from.

10:15, Hard to guess who'd make such a negative comment. EBT comes to mind. After all, he's always trashing anything we do for charities. So you know, they only accept perishables. Do tell us what you donated with your EBT Card? I know you'd rather I donate Twinkies and cupcakes but I'd rather gift something that will keep them from becoming XXXXXXL.

I agree with donating and do it at HALO. I guess I am bitter because of seeing so called "poor" people with EBT cards, getting out of expensive SUVs and cars, wearing designed clothes, high prices tennis shoes and hand bags meanwhile I shop within my means w/o government assistance. I would much rather purchase dinner for an elderly person who has to put this or that back because they do not have enough money to cover it. I have and will continue to pay all or part of their food bills. I have heard/seen it many times at the pharmacy with our elderly saying how do they expect me to eat and live. Its shameful this country as a whole and it did not start with Obama. When did it become "ok" to collect government assistance as a means of total support and not try to work to better yourself? Our nation is breeding generations who want noting out of life but the next free thing. The "no child left behind act" is rewarding the kids who refuse to learn (not those with disabilities - just the lazy ones) and punishing those who want more out of school by not putting these children in other classes. American Education Week was a joke. Many teachers now are only a few years older than their so called students they are teaching.
